The AI Nutritionist provides insights from your meals, carbs, and glucose. Log food by photo, voice, or barcode alongside your glucose curve.
No more guesswork around meals. SNAQ makes carb counting as simple as taking a photo, puts every meal on your glucose curve, and gives you an AI Nutritionist that knows your patterns and doesn't wait to be asked.
SNAQ is a food and carb tracking app with an AI Nutritionist built in. Designed for people with type 1, type 2, prediabetes, or gestational diabetes, and people on GLP-1 medications who want to understand how food and glucose relate. Snap a meal, connect your CGM, and let your AI Nutritionist spot the patterns that matter.

I’ve been a T1D for 51 years and have tried countless carb-tracking apps. Recently along came this weird app called SNAQ! I downloaded it and was impressed right away. The feature in particular is the running graph that shows my line of blood sugar numbers throughout the day. I plug in my meal to get the carb count, then go to my pump or t:connect on my iPhone to enter the carbs. I let it figure out the units I need, press either button to administer insulin, then go back to SNAQ & record that number of units. I also report any Activity I’ve done and write in the Notes any special data I want pertaining to my diabetes that day.The only issue is in recording the amounts of different food. Right now SNAQ takes only the scale weight, not fluid weight or measuring spoons. Nevertheless, their customer service is quick to respond to emails and I believe they are working to be more user-friendly. More importantly, I have been most often right on target with my numbers since using SNAQ.
Drastically improved my A1c
JennyC714
I used this app for 6 months last year and it helped to take my A1c from 7.6 to 5.3. I learned a lot about food and how each meal item affects my bs. I made tweaks and changes along the way to fine tune my glucose control. I took a break over the past three months to put into practice what I learned and was able to maintain my A1c at 5.6. I am back to using the app again to assist with weight loss and blood pressure goals I have set for myself. In doing so there are a couple things I do wish could be added and improved upon within the app. #1. I would like to see fiber per day/meal, maybe within the ‘Insight’ tab. Best I can get in the Insight tab is 1 week average. #2. Improve the photo estimates option beyond 3 items. My meal last night had 5 items (smoked brisket & turkey, collard greens, green beans & 1/2 Texas toast). It populates 3 items then gives suggestions on the remaining items to add. BUT when you add a suggested item it will delete a one of the three populated ones. Why not just be able to add the suggested item to the populated ones? I find this to be frustrating and don’t typically use this feature because of this. Beyond these two items the app is easy to use and I recommend it to others all the time in my online diabetes groups.

Hi Jenny, first of all, dropping from 7.6 to 5.3 is huge! Congrats on that! We are so happy to hear SNAQ helped you get there and that you're back for your new goals.Regarding fiber tracking: it's actually already there in the insights tab. If you tap into Insights > Nutrition > Fiber, you should see the specific daily breakdown, and not just the weekly average. As for the improvement of the photo estimation, we've shared this exact feedback with our product team, and they are discussing how we can improve that experience in the future.Thank you very much for the feedback and also for recommending us to your groups. If you spot anything else that we can do better, just email us at support@snaq.io anytime.
Not Consistent
hhetzel4kd
I am absolutely disappointed in this app. This app continuously doesn’t save entries I put in. It’s almost on the daily that I enter a dosage & when I go back to check what time it was at the entire entry is gone. I’ve already left this as a review & they emailed me telling me to track when it doesn’t do it. I don’t have time to do that. The whole point of paying for this app is so it tracks so I don’t have to track. Not only is this a huge disappointment & inconvenience, but it’s ridiculous. I am making health decisions based on what I track here & now I have no idea what time or what amount my dosage was because it doesn’t save my entry. Why is it that an app like Snapchat, I could take a Snapchat & not have reception for 3 days and it still saves my Snapchat, but here is I don’t have service it won’t even let me make an entry & if I do have service it doesn’t even save it at least once a day. How does this not have an auto save feature no matter what, where it can upload later if for whatever reason it fails to upload the first time. This is a safety concern. Not to mention, the whole reason I even initially signed up was because it advertised that it will track patterns & give me advice, it hasn’t done that once, there’s been no patterns tracked or advice given to better manage my diabetes. To charge that much for an app & have it work this poorly is crazy work.

Hi there, thank you so much for the detailed feedback. That sounds incredibly frustrating, and we're very sorry this is happening. Getting insulin logging right is our top priority, so we want to jump on this immediately.A quick question that might help: were they basal insulin doses? Sometimes the app groups those into an hourly bar on the graph.Either way, we would like to look deeper at your account. Could you email us at support@snaq.io with your Snaq email and a few examples? We'll get to the bottom of it and sort it out for you.
So far so good!

I just started using SNAQ, snd so far i find it’s amazingly accurate at picking up the foods on my plate. Sometimes it adds something it think it sees in a salad, but I can easily eliminate that item from the list it creates. I was amazed it picked up all of the other items in a mound of salad. I even had a packaged single item snack yesterday (the nutrition info wasn’t on the wrapper, it was on the original box which I didn’t have handy), so I just took a photo of the packaged item and SNAQ had it jn its database so was able to tell me carb count. So far I’m impressed, it’s working well, makes estimating carbs easy!

Hi Karen, thanks for the wonderful review! It's great to have you in the SNAQ community! :)
We’ve made meal logging faster and smoother, with improved ingredient search, serving sizes and barcode scanning. Insights and glucose graphs are now easier to use, workout intensity appears in your logbook, and we’ve fixed a few navigation and UI issues.
