The only free BMI, BSA and Schnur calculator on the App Store This app was written and developed by a surgeon to provide a quick and easy tool for calculating Body Surface Area, Body Mass Index, Ideal Body Weight and Breast Schnur Weight. Schnur Weight is used as a reference by plastic surgeons performing breast reduction surgery and is often utilized by insurance companies in the U.S. to determine if the amount of breast tissue removed from each breast is "medically necessary." Consult the medical insurance company to see if they use Schnur tables, as not all of them do. In many cases, by knowing this value, patients and surgeons can discuss breast reduction surgery with more information and less guess work. This app is also useful for anyone who needs a fast and convenient BMI/BSA calculator. Bariatric specialists, primary care physicians, plastic surgeons are just a few examples.
