Fortunately , I just bought this device yesterday on sales and connected it as it’s smart, but honestly I disappointed, because wasn’t able to fetch any data from it and I don’t know how can I track my data if I’m away from TCL dehumidifier. All I did now is manually and pay the price of smart device , non of the this app features are user friendly for this interface. I don’t know how these components works and talks to each others to make life easier for user. As example right now my basement humidity on the TCL is reading %46 ,the App is %35, and it turned off on my app, but actually is working.I appreciate your efforts, but consistency , seamlessly, and accuracy are important for user.Thanks,

Disappointing Experience with TCL Home App

I recently downloaded the TCL Home app with high hopes of conveniently controlling my AC unit. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Despite meticulously following all the provided instructions, I was unable to establish a connection between the app and my AC.The user interface seemed promising at first, but the connectivity issues overshadowed any potential benefits. After numerous attempts and troubleshooting, I decided to erase the app. It simply wasn’t worth the hassle, and now I understand why it has such a low rating.I was really looking forward to the convenience this app promised, but it failed to deliver on its core functionality. I hope the developers take these issues seriously and work on improving the app. Until then, I cannot recommend the TCL Home app to anyone looking to control their AC remotely.
Too Complicated

I have three TCL mini-split ACs connected to this app. I’m neutral on the connectivity for these ACs as it’s only a minor pain for the most part. My two primary concerns are 1) “reservation” / “Timer” don’t function as expected and 2) the English translation for the APP is incoherent. For grievance 1, one of my rooms is a baby room I NEED temperature control over, but scheduling a heat cycle simply turns on the machine (lowers the vent) and doesn’t deliver any air at all! I found, at 4 am that the baby room was 10 degrees below the intended setting - furious. Lucky, the remote control works in correctly telling the AC to do its job, which does make this ecosystem very “smart”. Grievance 2, fix the wording: why is “timer” used to build time ranges for interval, why is “vector air supply” used for fin orientation, and what is “46DEG F Heating “? If you fix anything, MAKE THE SCHEDULING RELIABLE FOR THE SAFETY OF FRAGILE HUMANS.

Can’t connect manually

I don’t understand why there is no means of connecting my AC to this app manually; I have tried their automatic detection system (via Bluetooth) and it just “can’t find the device” despite my phone being directly next to it, and there is no work around. (Apple Home found it, but it won’t connect remotely, just in the house with WiFi.) As such, I’m stuck and the app doesn’t work. I’ve been able to connect all my other smart devices from random companies… sometimes with issues, sometimes easily, but always they have worked. This one just sits there. It stinks because I wanted to be able to remotely turn on the AC before coming home; it was one of the reasons I bought the AC. But as soon as I many users here have complained, the app is nonfunctional.
