Extra Tools: Built-in Damage Calc & Pop-up Type Chart summaries?

I’ve been using this app for months now; I bought the mega pack after about a month of using it and I don’t regret it! Finishing up my living dex for Legends Arceus was so much easier 😅. On the other hand, I’ve been a longtime fan of competitive VGC, but I never tried it myself until Pokémon Champions. With the additions of team sets, I was wondering if a built-in damage calculator could be added for ease as a little button for each strategic set of a Pokémon. (I’ve been manually inputting my stats each time into other websites and it’s getting a little tiring 😅). Additionally, the type chart has these mini fractions at the end summarizing their defensiveness, weaknesses, as well as strengths. If possible, I had been thinking a possible pop-out box could appear aside them when clicked, and these boxes could hold that type symbols of the specific resists and strengths (Either defensively or offensively depending on which end fraction is clicked 😌) . Although that addition is minor, I thought it might be nice as a quick way to access the single type summary a Pokémon’s defensive capabilities or offensive (Both being available simultaneously with the advanced type chart tool; Another amazing addition I find myself using quite often☺️)However, those small little desires of mine mean nothing to this lovely swiss army knife of an app ☺️. I’ve had an utter joy playing some competitive Pokémon with my partner as well as legends (Z-A included now, as well with a shiny living dex soon 😉)
One of the greatest Pokédex apps

This has to be one of the greatest Pokédex apps I’ve ever used throughout my time of using apps like this for Pokemon. It’s not overly complicated and includes such a wide variety. I bought the premium too for only $15 and haven’t regretted it once. There’s only a single problem I have with it, and even then it isn’t enough to bring it down even that much; that thing being the Gym Leaders and Elite 4. Now on a technical level, everything is done correctly and nothing it wrong. However, I think it would be MUCH of an improvement if it INSTEAD turned into a general “important battles” viewing, including battles like with rivals, enemy teams, or even scripted wild battles and such etc. This would GREATLY increase the use of this, especially in certain games: such as Black and White, where the Champion isn’t even the final boss of the story mode so it technically isn’t as important and only shows the almost 30lvl gap between the Elite 4 and Champion, or in Alola or Legends Arceus, where there aren’t even Gym Leaders and instead Kahunas and Captains and Story-Necessary Pokemon battles. While adding such an addition would by a very likely be a BOATLOAD of work given the obvious gigantic number of such battles throughout the series, it would increase the utility of the app to such a scale where there wouldn’t be a need to use any other type of app like it for Pokemon. But even without what I’ve been yapping about for the past while, the current utility is still really great and absolutely worth the $15 for the premium.

Let me start out by saying that I’m currently 27, and throughout all my years of playing, nothing comes close to the ProDex when it comes to keeping you on your toes and ready to battle with the best Pokémon information there is! I use this app, mostly with Pokémon scarlet, but the app works with every Pokémon game there is. It comes in clutch when you’re in a battle and you don’t know the right type to use for your opponent. If you’re young and don’t have types memorized yet, this app will give you your opponents weaknesses and strengths. You just going to your Pokédex click on the Pokémon that they’re using, and it’s right below the Pokémon. You can create checklists for Pokémon that you’re looking for or Pokémon you have. You can look up every item that’s in the game and the App will tell you what it’s used for. Whenever I play Pokémon, this app is always open. This is my first ever app review. I’ve never thought about or wanted to write a review for any app that I’ve ever had, but I feel like it was necessary to write one for this app, because people need to know about it. If you don’t believe me, just look for yourself. I always recommend this app to anybody that I know or meet that plays Pokémon.

My rating is more like a 4.5/5, because this app is truly amazing. The UI is great, intuitive and really fun to navigate and explore, and is constantly being updated the dev(s). I’ve been using this app for the better part of a year now, and being able to look up pertinent info on Mons such as their in-game location, movepools, items, and even create checklists and build teams for each game is amazing. There is a slight issue, however, that I’ve been experiencing since Sca/Vio. When looking up a Pokémon and going over into its “Moves” section, once you scroll down into its learn set by TM and breeding, tapping on a move does not bring the description window for the move. It does perfect fine when you tap on move in it’s level up learnset, but anything past that and the app just does nothing. This causes me to have back all the way to the begging page and lookup moves in a different section of the app, which takes me out of the Pokédex and the Pokémon in particular I was looking up. It’s not a MAJOR issue, but this does break the flow of the app for me a bit, especially since this wasn’t a common occurrence before the recent updates. So here’s to hoping the devs can recognize and fix this issue. Otherwise, I’m having a fantastic time using the app and always look forward to future updates.
