I was hoping this website would be a good way to track my eating habits and give me good suggestions for daily meals. The reality is while I use my iPad for this app, the size of it doesn’t expand to fill the Page, it stays the size of a phone. I really dislike that. Secondly, if you’re a foodie, ie. You enjoy eating “squid with sour cream“ then this is the app for you. Personally I want simple recipes that are easy to follow and quick to prepare. I don’t want to have to run all over town looking for seaweed.Third, I’d like to see the recipe suggestions being able to be brought up a week at a time so you can get a clear overview to shop all at once. Right now you have to scroll through them one day at a time.Fourth, the starting reading had a spelling bee at the end of each segment, that was too high school for me, but maybe that’s who this app is meant for.I will be cancelling the app when my 3 months are up.

I purchased this app and subscription to help with meal planning. I went through all of the questions to get my meal plan, but of course I couldn’t actually see the meal plan or a sample meal plan until I purchased a subscription. So I purchased the meal plan subscription, turns out the meal plan and the way the meal plan works wouldn’t work for me and my needs. I realized this within an hour of purchasing the subscription. I reached out and requested to cancel the subscription and asked for a refund, with an hour of my purchasing it. After approximately two weeks, I received an email asking for more information on why I am asking for the refund, even though that was in my initial refund request, I provided it. Then a day or two later I received an email stating that they would not be refunding my money as my reason for refund was not within their refund policy. I asked for my situation to be escalated and they refused stating the answer would be the same but that I can keep using the subscription- that doesn’t work for me - since I paid for it. I don’t want the subscription or the additional time. I want my money refunded. I requested the refund within an hour of purchasing it. That should be enough, but the fact I couldn’t see the plan prior to purchase to see if it would work for me, is poor business practice. I will not use their services and will make sure I leave reviews where I can, warning people of possible predatory business practices.

The sign up process is incredibly cryptic and finds ways for you to easily sign yourself up for up to 10x the prices of an initial membership without warning until they send you an invoice. I tried to sign up for the $13 per month plan, the app suggested I try fasting and the button simply said “give it a try”. Well that was a $20 per month button undisclosed by the screen insisting I try it. Thereafter Unimeal will not refund you that money even if you immediately contact them about it and explain that you had no intention of agreeing to that additional fee. This is theft by everyone’s definition but their own as they will defend themselves to the bitter end that it’s their money fair and square now. Do not use this app unless you have an extra $300 a month in disposable income because that’s what you’ll ultimately end up paying if you take trust anything that they put forward. I’m not surprised to find this same complaint on this review page by many other people with the same issue. Unimeal is a thief and they’ve capitalized on every bit of it. Like a child at a lemonade stand and when a $20 bill falls out of your wallet while grabbing a $1 they grab it and claim it as theirs now. The bright side of the entire ordeal is that this will not be difficult to win in a class action civil lawsuit.

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews and agreeing to a one week trial for $10. I downloaded the app and looked through it for less than 10 minutes. Shortly after, I received an email saying I was charged another $50 and that my subscription would automatically renew every month for $100. The price is a crime in itself, you guys are insane for that. But not only are they GROSSLY overpriced for what offer, they take your money without authorization. I emailed several times for a refund and the people who emailed back (talking to you, Jane, Jason, Arthur, Monica, Stella, if those are even your really names 🙄) and they all said the same thing. “We adhere to the highest ethical standards and prioritize transparency and trust in all our operations. We do not hide our rules or take any illegal actions that may affect users' experience or the Company's reputation.” IF that were the case, why did I read over 20!! 1 star reviews from customers that agreed to a one week trial and then were charged again another $50. Please tell me again how your rules are clear and ethical?? This company is a JOKE and a SCAM and honestly should be shut down. They refused to refund me until I got my bank involved. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I hope you all get diarrhea while stuck in traffic.
