this app is incredibly buggy. it worked almost perfectly for a year or so after i got it, but recently it’s constantly been having issues with not remembering that i’m logged in, not showing classes, not loading, giving weird error messages. it’s great the Y offers this to reserve classes but it feels like whoever designed this stopped updating it and now it’s always having problems. pretty big bummer when you can’t reserve high demand classes and then miss out.

i updated the app and now i can’t log in. the email with the pin never comes. i’ve erased and reinstalled several times, checked my spam and every folder in my inbox, and am still waiting for a reply from support days later. we pay a lot for membership and can’t even use it… put some of that money into paying a professional to make an app that works! edit - clicked on app support to find this, lol! By partnering with Upace, YMCA LA reached 100% app adoption. The platform serves as a digital extension of their community-building mission, enabling check-ins, reservations, and program access while strengthening the sense of belonging that makes the YMCA LA special.

Every other week there's something and the Y will say it looks fine on their end and try to find fault with the user. I have screenshots of it saying I do not have an active account despite their insistence that I show up as active. Um, it's your app? If you can't fix it you should at least find someone who can instead of gaslighting your patrons. It's about to be a year of this and majority of the staff are disappointing, especially for the Y. The supreme lack of inclusivity and basic human decency is atrocious. Incredibly rude.

Won’t make reservation

I’ve tried four times to make a reservation for today, and I keep getting a message saying I’m trying to reserve a spot for three days ago. I’ve entered the correct date each time. I’ve deleted the app and am trying to add it again.Update: this happened again. I tried to make a reservation and it kicked it back saying that the date (today’s date, and yes, I double checked) had already passed. The only way to get around it seems to be to delete the app and reinstall it. Fix this, YMCA of Los Angeles!
