ABOUT PUBLIC STORAGE:
Since opening our first self-storage location in 1972, we’ve grown to become the largest owner and operator of storage facilities in the world. With thousands of locations across the U.S. and Europe, and more than 170 million net rentable square feet of real estate, we have the space you need right in your neighborhood.
With complete storage solutions of all sizes, there’s always a storage unit near you that lets you make extra space in your garage or basement, store your car or RV and find a temporary place for your furniture. Plus, flexible month-to-month contracts mean you can adjust your storage space to your short-term or long-term needs.
I was once very happy and even loyal and proud to not only rent from public storage... But I also worked for a company that we had the contract and maintained the lawn and landscape for all Dallas and Fort Worth Public Storages. I wasn’t upset with them when as happens from time to time they get bids like most do from other companies and we got underbidded by a labor force company who didn’t do as good of a job so Inalways kinda hoped you’d call us back. But anyway, that didn’t upset me as I understood since it was done at a time where our collective economy took a nose dive. But I still remained loyal out of feeling connected. What has me down is I first rented out of an much needed on the spot storage unit from divorce and happily got a unit for $70 a month. Well, life happens and things don’t follow our plans and even though rent steadily increased I had to move in with my parents to take care of my dad and could work less and less then my mother also and I worked to pay my bills and now my unit is $170/month. Now, I can go online and see units offered for so much cheaper and understand that the rent should go up some. But a happy medium between $70 and $170 would feel like I’m appreciated for being such a long time tenant. Ya know. Anyway, Thanks for listening. And I know my money whines are by my own doing for taking care of my parents. But such good parents deserve it. Especially all we’ve been through.
Great place for Storage! Can’t beat the online prices.
Sacaredheart
This is a great place for storage! The outstanding prices are awesome through the online rentals. The access for opening the gates through your phone is so convenient and easy! No codes to remember! And the manager “Jared” is so friendly and professional. While doing everything so conventionally online, I had questions and called. He was so helpful and very nice. When I arrived he was walking around the grounds and had a few more questions about other available sizes, and he was again so nice and professional. He made me feel like I was the only customer he had. Thank you Jared for such a pleasant experience! The only thing I wish were different are the hours you can get in through the gate. At 9pm sharp you can not get in until the next day. I didn’t realize that and the day I moved arrived around 9:30pm and could not access my unit until the following day. So I had to pay for another day on the rental truck. But that’s my fault, I didn’t read entirely and just assumed since it was online gate access that it would be able to open the gate 24 hours a day. Moving is a grueling process and being exhausted, I didn’t pay attention to the detail when signing up online. Once I knew this, I adjusted to the hours but just wanted to mention it for anyone else who maybe signing up online, so in the process they don’t make the same mistake I did. Daily rental trucks aren’t Cheap. LOL Everyone I know, usually takes all day packing and loading the truck, and usually don’t arrive to the storage facilities until late in the evening. Especially those moving from a different town or state. Again was my error so still deserve five stars.

This facility was great!
Bmwguy64
But since it’s been bought by Public Storage I’ve experienced nothing but faulty access to the facility. The facility remained unlock with doors open for several days after acquisition. Accessing the building through the app is a joke. It hasn’t worked correctly at all. Standing at the elevator it doesn’t matter what button you push. It raises the garage door but never allows access to the loading dock doors or elevator. The management office has been closed every time that I have tried to go in and present my personal renters insurance information that adequately covers my belongings at a better rate than their mandatory one month subscription to the company sponsored agency. In addition, they immediately raised my rate forcing me to sign a new leasing contract with them instead of honoring my current lease that had not yet expired. They removed the carts on site that assisted tenants with hauling items between their vehicle and their unit. The only thing that this facility has that keeps me from moving is covered load-in and load-out areas protecting your belongings from the elements during bad weather.

This is how you treat a customer that has been with you since 2009

I am incredibly disappointed to write this review. I first rented my 10x10 space at the Public Storage in East Pasadena in 2009. I just closed out my account on August 1st, 2023 because Public Storage continued to raise my rent and they actually notified me again last week that my rent was going up another $100 per month to where my September rent was going to be $516 per month. This is for a unit that is not temperature controlled on the fourth floor of the building. The most insulting part of my experience is that I moved completely out of my unit at 10:30am on August 1st. The building does not open until 9:30am so I could not get into my unit until 9:30am. I was out within 1 hour and the associate that was working that morning told me that had I moved out by 6pm the day before I would have been fine but because it was now the first day of the month that I was going to have to pay the entire months rent. She said that public storage management does not allow pro rated payments even though I was only in the unit for 1 hour. That’s a wonderful way to treat me and my 14 year loyalty to your business. Oh well, at this point I have paid my last $416 to this company and they can no longer continue to stick it to me. I know that this is a massive corporation that could care less about losing one customer but if I can help one future consumer out there who needs a storage unit to think twice about Public Storage and take their business elsewhere then the time I just spent writing this message was completely worth it.
