I have been absolutely loyal to Microsoft One Note for many years, yet it’s not ETEE (End To End Encryption) which I have to have in todays AI Intrusive (aka hackable) World. No matter how truly Fantastic One Note is… it’s free, it’s effortless in creating countless notes on the same page, all within view without end, meaning I can keep writing without moving from the one page I started on and without a single scroll, Wow, Smooth continuous writing. NOTESNOOK is now my Absolute Go To. I can send notes and whole web pages to NOTESNOOK without it needing to open itself up. I can edit live without having to change the flow I'm on, meaning I do not have to open another page in order to edit. With ETEE being Number One, I must have .F.L.O.W., I have to have a place to write without abandon. NOTESNOOK is that flow for me now and Man Oh Man… You can’t beat the price of free nor can you beat the price of NOTESNOOK PRO at 4.49 Mos. Obviously, there’s so much more to love. You’ll know if you love it too, Give it a try.

I do not like writing negative reviews. I have never taken the time to give a review like this before; however, I do do now in hope that this app’s makers will improve their features. I have just cancelled my “Pro” subscription BECAUSE the “view history” feature within the app has not worked for me, nor has the back up. Three times I have had notes - which have had hours of work stored on them - simply erased. Gone. The title of the note is still at the heading but all the notes are gone, and I have been entirely unable to retrieve them in full form, being offered the choice to restore to a previous “version” in which most of the note just erased is missing. There is no back key to undo some kind of “deleted all” error. The note is just gone. It has been a very frustrating experience, and I gave it another try - but this third time…I can’t keep taking that risk. Needed hours and needed notes are simply lost. Perhaps this is user error, but I think not. The notes do this without my touch. I could not find a way to contact anyone to ask about this trouble. The contact page was not clear. I don’t need a blog, social media, or to join a community forum to bounce ideas around, but a phone number or something perhaps? I liked the idea of what these makers are trying to do, offering secure note-taking avenues, but I have had had this happen three times in less than a month of using the “Pro” subscription. In closing, this review holds no malice, and I hope this simply alerts those who need to be made aware, those who can solve this issue for others, if others are having it. I will be returning to writing by hand, the surest anti-system error/fluke method which I know to be RELIABLE and secure.

I’ve been looking for a notes app for a long time that scratches the itch I have to keep things synced and organized. I moved from Google Keep which was OK but was missing some serious organization and power. It helped a lot that Notesnook has import options for so many other note apps including Keep so I could pick right up!Notesnook allows you to break down your notes with tags, colors, and “Journals”, syncs almost instantaneously with other devices, and has a ton of customization to make it work and look like what you want. For example, I’ve got journals I’m using to keep a daily journal, dream journal, business notes, notes from DND sessions, to-do lists, project ideas, random thoughts and observations, short comics, and there is even a vault where you can store sensitive information behind a password, like your landlord’s address when you forget it when you’re writing a check (speaking from experience)!I found Notesnook as I was looking into self-hosting some software, seeing that they were just at the crux of finishing documentation for theirs. So if you’ve got a server, they’ve got a docker setup now (among other methods) - and you can self host it!I ended up going for the premium instead of self hosting though to support Notesnook, as this app has so many features that I hope the team keeps improving with time and support! Definitely recommend it to anyone!

Open source, secure encryption, efficient without bloat, and intuitive to the average user, Notesnook beats all the other competitors in its class. The team listens to their user-base, providing excellent service at reasonable cost, without compromising user privacy. Nor do they lock customers into a proprietary software that takes ownership of notes away from the individual by discouraging easy transfer. It is evident that the team has put a lot of thought into making an efficient app that works well for its users even when they are offline. Notesnook gives users what they need to be more productive in their digital note-taking. They stand at the head of their class. I’m a subscriber who plans on sticking with Notesnook for years to come.
