As a patient receiving care at the Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center, I have found the MyMountSinai app to be instrumental in supporting my mental health journey. The app allows me to view my scheduled appointments, schedule and manage appointments, access my medical records, and lab and test results, and send a message to my physicians. This comprehensive tool has significantly helped me stay consistent with attending my meetings with my physicians and bolster my confidence in managing my mental health and well-being. In the MyMountSinai app, MyChart, integrated with additional features and capabilities, streamlines my healthcare management and enhances communication with my medical team. It’s incredibly convenient and personalized to deliver healthcare services tailored to my needs and preferences, all within a single platform. I highly recommend this app to anyone seeking customizable healthcare solutions aligned with their specific needs and preferences and a flexible and user-friendly way to manage their healthcare.

This Hospital Health care Team are Horrible People worst care ever this Hospital was better when it was Saint Luke’s There’s no Empathy for Elderly sick Patients no Oxygen given to me through my whole stay in the Dirty Nasty Emergency Department with Wicked Nurses and wicked Charge Nurses. My daughter told the Doctor she was going to take me Home at 11:30 Am the Doctor said no that she Prefer I go in an Ambulette with Oxygen in the Meantime I was not getting any O2 in the ED.I waited 6 hours for an Ambulette to take me home my daughter called a few times the Social worker,The Charge Nurse The Green team the Registrars Representative in the ED everyone just didn’t care to help me get the Proper Transportation home they kept hanging up the Phone on my daughter every time she called to see the Status on my Ambulette . They put me away in a room with a wall I front of me Discharged me before getting me my Transportation horrible Place to be in I was feeling sick short of breath Headache and no one came to my Aide I would be ignored if I asked for help so I left around 5- 5:30 pm and Almost fainted Short of Breath,weak and with Chest Pain they didn’t care that I left that Dirty Emergency room by myself. I took Public Transportation to get home with no Oxygen and feeling very weak and sick almost got Struck by a Car very Bad Experience in that Mt Sinai Morningside ED full of Horrible Employees.

Every modern medical organization must have a good information and communication app. This app provides both information and a way to communicate. However, it is poorly created. Many of the pages do not open at all. Those that open half of the time do not load. When they don’t load you have to go back and try again. When they do open it rarely happens quickly, more often you will wait for 20 seconds or a minute. At that point you don’t know if you should wait or try again. There is a way to share your medications with Mount Sinai, however, you can’t just enter your information. You have to find your exact medication though search. When your medication is on the list you have to go through a long list of different quantities and types before finding your. But perhaps you should not worry about that since many of the medications or quantities are simply on the the list which you already waited a minute to load. Same goes for allergies. You can add them, but only if you find them in a list that’s poorly maintained. In conclusion. This is a needed app but the people who create and support it care little if the app is operational, is useful, will be used, or it is usable at all.

My three stars above is somewhat flawed. I have a PCP and a pulmonologist at the Astoria site, which I travel about an hour to get to from my home. They are both that good and to me, they rate 10 stars at least. I should also write that I have both of the cardiologist and a gastroenterologist who are wheelchair waiting in Gold. But there are also those that I can only give at most a star or two. They have no problem with appointments, but if I question them on my chart, they love to leave me hanging most of the time. Just came back at the opportune time when I asked one doctor about a referral that was promised the day before this writing and received a general response, not really relating to my requested referral – actually not as all. What was sent was a list of P T places, I can go to, even though I already have one. To say it was not helpful would be saying a drought does not need water. In the end, I would think that Mount sinai, wanting you to go to Mychart, will do a better job in instilling to their doctors across the board to respond. They evidently think otherwise.
