Best investment for beginner cyclists

I just recently got into cycling and was thinking to have my bike fit done by a pro fitter but hesitate with the relatively high cost. I see myself and a casual cyclist and decide to try this out. The setup is quick and simple, and following the basic recommendation by the report, my ride feel has instantly improved and I felt much natural to ride in the new setup.Of course this is not comparable to a pro fitter but for basic fitting and adjusting for beginner to avoid injury, this is more than enough!

If you ride a bike, get this app.

In a nutshell, this amazing app will help make your bike more comfortable and efficient—and likely reduce the odds of an injury due to a poor-fitting bike. It’s easy and fun to use, and will help you dial in saddle height & position quickly. Highly recommended!

Don't bother unless you have a tripod or something

Trying to use this with my phone propped on a chair. The app won't let you use the reverse camera, as far as I can tell, so it's impossible to set up the shot because without a second person to operate the phone, or a tripod, you can't see the screen while starting the recording. App requires you start the 7-day free trial before you can even attempt to use it. Trash.

I am sorry you had a bad experience with BFF EZ. We only use the camera on the back because it records at the 240 fps you need to accurately track the fast moving body parts when you are pedaling. The front cameras have gotten better though, so we will look at adding that in for more modern devices. A tripod isn't necessary, but very helpful for stabilizing the iOS device to capture the video. You can also craft a simple stand from a scrap of cardboard to help prop it up on a chair. Finally you are correct, while you can play with almost all of the features without starting a 7 day free trial, if you want to record a video and do your own assessment we ask that you start a free trial.
