Want to run a 5K but don’t know where to begin? iRun is your starting line: The app’s personalized workouts will have you off to the races in eight weeks tops. iRun creates a personalized training plan based on your experience—just answer a few questions about your workout history and the app will take it from there. Workouts combine walking and running intervals and max out at 30 minutes three days a week. Use the app to track your progress, or activate an audio coach to guide you through your routine. So I’ve been struggling with my weight for years, and I've always wanted to start working out and, more specifically, running. I don't know what it is about running, but I've always wanted it. In the past, I would start and then quit in the same week. I would overwork myself to the point of fear and resentment. But using this app, I'm excited for my next workout. I see so much improvement in my runs. This app reminds me to cool down and refuel. I feel like a champ. I thank the Lord for this one.

Lacking features

Although the general product works satisfactorily, the premium version, for a quite expensive price (especially compared to competitors) lacks many important features. The inability to customize your workout plan after you have selected the difficulty options when you download the app is frustrating, especially when you cannot skip workouts that are too easy or jump to workouts later in the program that challenge you more (all of my workouts have been). Also, more options regarding the voice used for running would be nice, such as the ability to change how the voice speaks over your music or gives halfway/10 second warnings (I personally like these features)

Really has kept me motivated to keep going and doing the program. I’m finishing Week 2 today and my wife and I are already working towards entering our local 5k next season. Being able to go at your own pace and speeds as well is huge, as well so you dont feel like you are falling behind. The vocal cues are also fantastic when you’re really struggling and you hear ‘half way there’ or ‘10 seconds left!’

Don’t use unless you plan to use it. I got the 30 day trial period a week went by and I didn’t get a chance to try the app and got charged before the 30 day trial was up. Reached out to their customer service only to be told they don’t handle billing concerns to reach out to apple. Tried to get my refund through apple app and they did not have that option. Could not find the number or email. Nothing and no one to talk to regarding my concerns! Never using apps like this again. I will got to the gym and be done. $30 is ridiculous anyways for something I can do myself, was looking for motivation. You gave me motivation alright. The hassle of trying to reach someone was enough
