This appears to be a non-native app from one of the cross platform app creation tools. It doesn’t feel native at all. The log-in process doesn’t take advantage of the phone and requires using Passwords to manually select the correct account and enter the password. The previous app wasn’t great, but at least it used a native log-in process. Information density is low, so I have to scroll too much. It was clearly created from a feature check list and didn’t include any UX considerations. But, I’m giving this two stars instead of one because technically it works.

Title says it all. It’s a clunky app and doesn’t work all that well. In fact right now I can’t sign in through the app or the website. Called customer service and they have no fix. I wanted to like profed but they are so far behind technologically. It’s like banking in 2002.

When I launched the app before and logged in I could instantly see my accounts. This was great for quickly login in and checking my balances. However with the new app all the headers for each category take up way too much space. The banner that sits there at the top also takes up way too much space and I cannot quickly see any of my accounts now without having to scroll. I just want to be able to login and see my balance and log out. Having to scroll might seem like a nonissue but it forces more actions than I feel is necessary. Things take up way too much space now.

I don’t think I’ve ever written an app review before, but I have been thoroughly disappointed with ProFed‘s new app since they made their changes at the end of October. It constantly says that there is a server error and won’t let me login. This is a critical app to have and needs to work so much better. I have been with ProFed for over 30 years and will likely leave and head to another bank if these issues are not resolved very soon as this is getting ridiculous.
