Browse smarter with Surfed — a browser and unified history + bookmark manager with global search, smart collections, and powerful developer tools.
Surfed is a browser and unified history + bookmark manager for iOS, macOS, and visionOS that keeps a global, multi-browser history with smart bookmark collections, tags, notes, and reminders synced across devices. The browser includes a built-in Web Inspector, Network Monitor, HTML Playground, JavaScript Console, and Web Triggers automations that run as you browse and can be built from extensive actions or installed from a gallery—so casual readers, normal users, and everyday browsers get a friendly UI while researchers, students, and professionals can organize knowledge and debug complex web apps.

I decided to support the app based on the potential. I'm hoping it does get developed. For now, the app has plenty of bugs. For example, the Smart Collections don't work. I've both created my own, and added some from the gallery, and they don't add or tag anything. In addition, the app will randomly ask me to buy the Pro version when I try to do something, even though I've already paid for it.At this time, the app also doesn't sync between devices, so you have to export and import everything. This is a pro purchase. It was the reason I upgraded, only to encounter multiple problems when trying to upload. Hope these issues get fixed soon, because it does have potential. I'll gladly update my review when that happens.
Developer Response
Thank you for the detailed feedback! I would be very grateful if you could contact us by e-mail and send us a screenshot of the Smart Collections so that we can check why they do not work for you.support@surfed.appIf the Pro functions have been purchased, the dialog should no longer be displayed.A device sync will definitely come in a future version. Favorites, tags and smart collections can already be synchronized via shortcuts.
Most Powerful Safari Extension- Period

This app does NOT deserve the reviews it has gotten. I’ve been using Surfed for years. It’s famous among automators, developers, and shortcut enthusiasts. This app performs more than what… 10+ Safari extensions could do— for a fraction of the price. Calling Surfed an extension almost seems insulting as the app ALSO has a fully working standalone app (called a container). The low reviews are because the learning curve is commensurate with its capability. It takes a bit of time to understand and set up. My ONLY gripe with this app is that it lacks a solid online manual/ documentation library. The app has some explanations in the app itself, but figuring it fully out will have to be something you do on your own while you configure it. 12/10 it is, without doubt, the most powerful, capable Safari extension on the App Store.
Developer Response
Wow — thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review! It really means a lot to hear that you’ve been using Surfed for years and that you recognize the depth and flexibility behind it.You’re absolutely right about the learning curve — Surfed has grown a lot in scope, and clearer documentation would definitely help make that power more approachable. I’m already working on expanding the online documentation and examples to make getting started (and mastering the advanced parts) much easier. Thanks again for your kind words and for being part of the Surfed community — feedback like yours keeps me motivated to keep improving it.
Using it backfired

The app does what it says it does. Unfortunately, the recent update seems to have deleted all my Safari browsing history from before September 2023 with no way to recover it. While this is partially my fault for not using Time Machine, it's also the exact opposite of what I wanted, and I'll not be using the app again.
Developer Response
I understand your frustration, but I want to clarify that the app does not have access to your complete Safari browsing history. As a developer, I can assure you that the app Surfed cannot be the cause of your Safari browsing history deletion, as we do not have the capability to access or modify Safari's browsing history.
Amazing!

Ever notice how some google searches disappear in Safaris history? This app fixes that issue. It tracks whatever you want to track and let’s you BLOCK the tracking of whatever you don’t want to track. Personally, I just use it to track my Google searches—because Safari makes them disappear! This app is so good, it feels like something Apple would do. My only request is for this app to have iCloud sync. It would be a great pro feature — a very logical feature I think people would pay for. Just today, I was using this app on an iPad mini; and had to go to my main IPad to find a Google search (because the history doesn’t sync).
Developer Response
Thanks a lot for this awesome review! It's great to read that the app helps you in everyday life. iCloud Sync will definitely be integrated soon, so that the history and all created tags and smart lists will be compared across all devices. Thank you and continue to enjoy it!
