This app is honestly pretty awful, and I only use it because I lost the remote and my walking pad has no buttons so I have to use the app to start and stop, and change speeds. The only way it works is if you leave it open, and it’s very glitchy and heats up my phone. It also has sound and Bluetooth, so if I want to listen to music or anything in my earbuds besides the sound of my fake character walking I have to minimize the app. Then, even if it’s only been a few minutes, when I go back in it is somehow disconnected from my treadmill and says “app running too long, workout stopped” while the treadmill is literally still going. Then it restarts, stops the treadmill, and never tracked my workout. Super frustrating. If it wasn’t for losing the remote, this app would be completely useless and I wouldn’t even have it in my phone. I’m just ordering a replacement remote at this point so I can delete this headache of an app.

Major disappointment
No-Bluetooth
After purchasing my new DeerRun treadmill I was looking forward to using the PitPat app which states that it syncs with Apple health. What a disappointment this has been.The app will not stay connected more than a few minutes at the very longest. Typically it disconnects from Bluetooth in less than 90 seconds. Secondly, it does not sync with Apple Health at all. I contacted the Customer Service department which offered no help whatsoever. I was told to send a video to DeerRun support, in which I did…multiple times. No help has been offered. I was however, offered $30 to keep the non functioning treadmill. I was also informed that apple does not allow their app to sync with Apple Health. It states on DeerRun website that it does indeed sync with Apple Health. False advertisement.As a last resort I will be returning the treadmill and expecting a full refund. This nightmare has been going on for over two months now. Responses usually take an average of a week to receive. Phone calls have gotten me nowhere with no resolution offered. All calls are directed to foreign countries where English is not their first language. Extremely frustrating to say the least.

The worst app ever

I’ve been using this app for over two years because it pairs with my Deerun treadmill. I’m on my third treadmill of theirs currently, so I know my issues are app based. This app drops the Bluetooth connection CONSTANTLY. Sometimes I can just reset and continue on with my workout, sometimes the pause button disappears and it freezes, sometimes it just freezes altogether, sometimes it just freezes on the reset Bluetooth screen. I’m constantly losing my workout data by having to restart the app and reconnect. Also I don’t do any of the challenges and this app is absolutely not user friendly for just walking solo. They keep moving the tiny button that says “go walk” or “go run” around all this other busy garbage on the screens. Finding my stats and such isn’t easy, it’s buried next to paywalls and just an array of ads and challenges. It’s so busy I don’t know how anyone figures out what they’re doing on it. I wish Deerun would move away from PitPat and move to a more robust platform. This app is absolutely garbage.

Chronic Tech Bugs

I’ve never written a review on the App Store before but that’s how frustrated I am with the chronic tech bugs in this app. It’s gotten to the point where it’s hard to trust that it will count my running stats. I’m about to delete the app. Why keep wasting my time and energy on running events that error out on the regular? They’re a great motivation when they work but there is CHRONIC tech issues that render the app less useful. There seems to be only one point of contact person for troubleshooting these problems which delays things significantly (to be fair, he’s a very nice person but does not make up for slow to fix issues). I’m going to stick with them for about a month to see if things get better. There’s only so much I can rage quit this app before it starts affecting my mental health istg
