I’ve been using TBR for over a year now and I absolutely love it! I have a few suggestions tho. I would really like a way to log in or save my data. I would be seriously upset if my phone broke and I lost all my notes and reviews and what not. Another thing I keep accidentally doing is when I look at my reading goal I keep trying to click on the titles to open up the reviews and thats not how it works. Maybe that could be a feature in the future?? I really like how each book has its own color when you log it. When I’m looking at my read section I wish there was a way to organize it. Right now its every single book I’ve ever logged and if I wanted to find a book review for a book I read say in May of 2021 I would have to scroll all the way down. I would like if there was a way to sort by year or month. Over all though I am the biggest fan of this app. Especially with how much content you can access with just the free version. I am looking forward to buying the premium version and updating all my reviews! I feel like the app is simple enough that adding a review doesn’t feel like a chore (like on other tracking apps). Though it would be cool if there was a way to share your reviews with friends/be able to view other peoples reviews.
Developer Response
Thank you so much for writing such a detailed review! We recently released an update that allows you to sync between devices and backs up your data with iCloud sync in case of accidental deletion. If you’re searching for a specific book you can search at the top of the read book page. We will be looking into a filter/search by date option as well!We love all your ideas and we will be looking into them all! Thanks again :)
Good app

i first saw this app on instagram and i was like, “I need to get this!” i’m a little disappointed by how much you have to pay for some features, but you can still do it without paying. anyways, i used to love reading so much when i was in elementary school, but i got into a year old reading slump. this really helped me get out of it. it’s a great way to track your progress and how many books you read. i thought of myself as a fast reader, but i’m shocked to see that i’ve read 29 books so far this year (it’s only May)! the only suggestion i have is that i wish they have much questions on the rating. like instead of favorite character, it could be least favorite character too, or maybe favorite scene also. i know there’s the quote one, but most times i don’t have specific quotes i love so i just describe the scene there. anyways, another cool feature to add would be a way to mark if you own the books on your TBR. for example, on my TBR i have books that i want to get and books that i own but haven’t read yet. i just think it would be easier this way, especially during holidays when people ask what to get you. this app makes it easy because you can just pull up your TBR! but then i’m looking at the books and i’m like “wait do i have this one” anyways, this app is pretty good.👍🏻
4 Stars - Love the App, but Disappointed by Missing Books
Almost maybe almost
I've been using this app for a while and absolutely love it for keeping track of all the books I've read and rated. It's been my go-to for discovering new reads and revisiting old favorites. However, I recently ran into a frustrating issue that has made me hesitate to use it as frequently.One day, out of the blue, a significant number of the books I had rated and saved to my shelf disappeared. I had around 160 books rated, and suddenly, that number dropped to just 69. It was disheartening to lose so much of my reading history, especially when I was trying to find a book I had already rated but couldn't remember the title.I still think this is a fantastic app with a lot of great features, but I hope the developers can address this issue. It's a bit discouraging to invest time into curating my library only to see it mysteriously shrink. I really want to keep using the app as I always have, but I’m hesitant until I can trust that my books will stay where I put them.
Only worth it if you pay for pro
@ngel0fmusic
I downloaded this app to check it out and see the features and see what I could do with it and see if it might be a good alternative to keep track of my TBR. I’ve had it for about two months now and a month ago I sent in a bug report that I could not upload my Goodreads export so that way I could have all those books imported and not have to manually do it because I read 100 to 200 books a year. There’s no way I’m gonna go and spend time to manually at all of them. To this day, I’ve only gotten one response stating that they were thankful I reported the bug to them and that someone will get back to you soon. I haven’t heard a single word since. (It’s been 3 weeks) One of their pro features says that when you pay for pro you get first priority when it comes to support requests. Well, they certainly mean it because I did not want to pay for pro because I wanted to figure out the features of the application would be worth it. And I have not heard anything about the problem I have reported and waited to hear from. I am deleting the app because I do not have space on my phone to have an app that sits there and does nothing. This app has great potential and I hope that it does help some people, but it is not the app for me, especially if their customer service is not going to contact me back.
