I finally decided to try Breakfast again after my last visit was disappointing, and the same 1/2 Pound Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast was again disappointing. I specifically asked my waitress to have the kitchen LIGHTLY FRY my Steak and HASHBROWNS and mine came burned on edges both the Chicken Steak and HASHBROWNS, even my OVER EASY EGGS HAD BURNT CRISPY EDGES. This place prior to THE COVID PANDEMIC, was an outstanding restaurant, now it’s hardly occupied, hence due to poor quality results on food preparation. My husband said his breakfast was tasteless and his Scrambled Eggs overcooked and dry! We will never pay the increased prices for a poorly prepared breakfast there again!! So disappointed. I tried to give a 1 STAR for this review, but it popped up a 5 star, which it definitely was not!!!!

We were seated with no menus so after about 10 minutes of waiting I looked at the hostess from my seat and mouthed silently, can we get menus, and I also used my hands for further sign language open and shut my hands like a book. At that point the hostess very rudely (with a harassed look) yelled you just need to wait or be patient. I’ll be honest I was so thrown by her attitude of facial expression, verbiage and tone of voice. If you don’t want to wait on people or can’t do it without attitude or ugliness you shouldn’t have taken that position. I do believe she is in a management position which literally made it 100% worse!! It was my first, last and only time I will ever step foot in that place again!! We have choices of where to dine. Most companies want you to choose their company, but I don’t know to many people who would willingly go back to a place just to get treated like that!!! I don’t take that type of attitude from family or friends and I’m certainly NOT going to take it from someone who was supposed to be earning money for the company that pays her by taking care of us with the smallest of effort and instead we all walked out still hungry to go somewhere that did appreciate our choosing them to support their business!! I don’t care if it does a ton of business, regardless, that’s not how you treat prospective customers.

There was hardly anyone in this location which made me curious there only two waitresses working I ordered chicken noodle soup and the half sandwich the soup came it looks strange the lady said oh they had to change companies but it was just same. it was not it was horrible my husband ordered a hamburger well they were out of buns so he got his hamburger and two slices of Texas toast he wanted onion rings or french fries they were out of those we also overheard the conversation at the next table young lady ordered pancakes with strawberries they were out of strawberries and I don’t remember what it was a man ordered but what he ordered they were out of this is the worst service we have ever encountered at that location will probably give it one more chance but if it does not improve we won’t be going back and it is the only Village Inn that I know of in our area thank you. Thank you

We just moved to the area on military orders. Passed by a few times and we finally stopped in. This reminds us of a place in NC family owned where you just get nothing but the best! This is the same and we love it! The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! The mimosas are good too! We will continue to come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner knowing they serve all. To the staff thank you for such wonderful hospitality! If you have not been here to eat I highly suggest you stop by.
