We threw a StoryPop party with our neighbors, many of whom we had only hung out with once before. It was an absolute blast, we were all laughing, scheming, and having a wonderful time right from the start! I didn’t know what to expect at first, but within minutes I was fully committed to my role. It was SO much fun!!! At the reveal of our game outcome, all of our jaws hit the floor. Such a fun surprise! It was especially cool that we could tell how choices each of us made at one point in the game significantly impacted the specific outcome we got. That was one of my favorite parts - it was more unique than an escape room or other murder mystery where the outcome is more “pass/fail”. We hung out in our costumes for awhile after the game and couldn’t stop talking about it- suddenly our neighbors and friends felt like we were all close friends who had known each other much longer! THEN, the next day, I found myself wanting to play again and again. I spent most of the day wishing we were playing another Story! I especially can’t wait for stories that can be fun for our whole family to play together! Crossing my fingers for that!! All in all, it’s amazing. Perfect for friends who know each other well or not, different age ranges, different “acting” skills, very detailed party or quick get together - it’s great for lots of different people and settings. Seriously cannot wait to have another StoryPop party!

We had so much fun hosting a story pop game night. It was easy to setup up as the host and invite our friends and family to play. It’s fun to have both a digital and in person gaming experience at once. I liked having all the information about my character and objectives on my phone and accessible. Can’t wait to play again.

We used Story Pop for a murder mystery night and overall it was just okay—not what we expected for the price. The game doesn’t explain the phases very well, and the flow felt confusing. You’re suddenly pushed into random conversations without clear instructions on how you got there or how they connect. It would’ve helped a lot if there were guided prompts or clearer ways to respond to conversations that the game itself starts.The biggest letdown was the murder itself. It felt anticlimactic and rushed. I really think the murder should have been a hidden task, with a dramatic reveal or scene when it happened. Instead, it was very underwhelming and removed a lot of the excitement and suspense you’d expect from a murder mystery.Overall, the game felt too fast and a bit boring. For $50, it just wasn’t worth the money. It has potential, but it definitely needs better structure, clearer instructions, and a more engaging storyline to justify the cost.

StoryPop game night really opened my eyes to the a new gaming experience for me. It was a puzzle and roll playing game all in one. Having the directions and rules/clues within the app made it so easy to play and everything was laid out so nicely! It was all around incredible and would recommend to all my friends for their game night festivities!
