The company I work for has used Service Titan for years. The old app was very intuitive and had a flow to it. There were several training videos on the use and operation of the old app but for the most part just poking around you could learn to use the system pretty quick. Making multiple estimates, presenting it to customers, invoicing and making PO’s was a simple process with one click additions. Fast forward to the new app and the user interface is extremely clunky, over engineered, disjointed and requires multiple steps to perform the same actions that used to be a one click “+” button. The text boxes that make sense to use full screen when editing descriptions only allow three lines of text, the text boxes that only require a few words go full screen. It seems that the menu structure/design was decided by throwing it in a blender and then shotgunning it on a wall. We have been using the new Field app for a few weeks now and there isn’t a single technician that likes using it. Every day is a roll of the dice for what changed from yesterday. Features are constantly being turned on and off. One day the menu you need is over here, tomorrow it’s over there buried three screens deep.

I literally had to step away before writing this review to stop my self from crashing out over this garbage app. Why try to “fix” what isn’t broken? The previous app may have had a few flaws but compared to this dumpster fire it was wonderful. The response time to click and do anything in this app is unacceptable, feels like I’m using dial up internet.Our team worked hard building our pricebook before this forced “update” for a smooth and fast process to create multiple options that were pleasant and designed to be customer facing. The new app has done everything possible to impede that process by injecting multiple clicks to add a simple item, shrinking the view screen to navigate the pricebook, and even somehow ruining a simple “side by side” comparison view when presenting options. You can’t even email more than 1 option at a time! Because that’s what customers want… 5 different emails that take forever to send because of this buggy POS appOh, and it DRAINS the power of your mobile devices. Our company was an early adopter of Service Titan and is fully integrated. While they still provide an excellent product when it comes to the office side of customer accounts, marketing, and dispatching… this botched downgrade has us looking elsewhere for the first time. Shame on you Service Titan.Ain’t no way real users are ranking this 5stars either…

Service Titan disaster
We used service titan mobile (the other app) for years and built a very successful model around it. After some minor hangups, the tech support insisted over and over again we switch to this app. Service Titan Field is horribly underdeveloped to the point where it feels like they forced the Beta version onto the market before it was ready in order to live test it on us at the expense of our business and customers. I have lost TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars in sales because of how badly optimized and designed this app is. It stops working at crucial presentations, it is difficult to navigate with pointless redundancies and design choices slowing you down at every turn, building options is cumbersome and the presentation is so unintuitive that I end up trying to explain every little thing to every customer. Why take time to write descriptions when they won’t appear for the customer? People have no idea what they are looking at. It no longer tracks your sales, an extremely simply task (and important feature!) that apparently they outsourced on the old model but can’t manage to do now. This transition has been a nightmare. If they plan on chopping the other app, it will be a massive loss. This is supposed to be the most premium service available and it is total, borderline unusable garbage for anyone who needs to do dynamic in-person service sales.

This week our team was forced to start using the app… they did the training videos and had downloaded the App this month (Jan 2025). I am the owner of a plumbing outfit in CA… nothing but issues all day that I had NO way of correcting or instructing what steps to take to correct the hiccups! I had to email ST a list of all 9 issues we were running into. They did reply quick and Rachel was AWESOME! download-er’s beware if there are continued issues you have to delete and redownload the “newest” version, which ST never communicated but I sure got an email box full of messages to make sure we converted over - NOTHING ever said anything about the version :/ I love Service Titan but all these platform changes are getting overwhelming! Add features but STOPPPPPPPPP OVERHAULING the whole look & feel! Us service folks are trying to deal with day to day business stuff we don’t want to re-learn how to work our software we pay GOOD money for.
