People on here giving one and two stars need to get educated on what this app actually does and what it was designed for. First off, you have to have a paired and compatible Starkey aid that needs to be setup and programmed by an audiologist. They will explain the functionality and features along with answering any questions you may have. For those of us the have Invisible In-Canal aids that do not support other iPhone apps nor have a physical button, this app is perfect for quick volume, mute, or changing custom memories. Basic, generic, but it works just fine!

Love the new redesign of the app. I’ve had starkey for few years now. Been using this app on a daily basis. Although I enjoy the functionality and ease of this app, I do feel like the new update has removed a key feature. On the previous application - I was able to place a finger over my light detection (which is next to the front camera), screen would temp turn off, it would immediately sound the tone. I did not have to wait 3 seconds before the tone actually hit. In this new update, even if I hide the light detection, my screen does not turn off, and I also have to constantly wait 3 seconds. There should be a toggle to turn off the waiting period.

I was not able to use the app on my phone because it has a LifeProof case on it. I was also told that on some people the hearing may sit too far in the ear and they might not be able to use the app either. Being an inventor I tried experimenting and found a solution that works quite well. Open the app and take one hearing aid out of your ear. On a flat surface place that aid next to the speaker at the top of your phone. Tap the negative or positive sign next to the function you want to use. While the count down is in progress use two fingers to cover and uncover the vents next to the plastic removal wire. This will activate a sound from your hearing aid that will then activate the program on your phone. The adjustment will now be announced in the hearing aid that you left in your ear. It takes only a little practice with your fingers over the vents to get the hearing aids to make the sound to communicate with the program but once you got the hang of it you will really appreciate the freedom it gives you. It's nice to have this option for T2 control, but the app is inconsistent.Sometimes it works to control both right and left sides at the same time, but usually not. Sometimes you hold your phone to one ear but the control seems to apply to the other. You end up with different settings on the right and left sides, and then have to use the iPhone keypad to restore uniformity in the volume and/or memory settings.The instructions are ok, but could be clearer. It still took me awhile to realize that you touch the control and then just hold the phone to your ear.Again, sometimes, rarely, you get uniformity, but most times not, requiring you to fall back to just using the keypad.I'm glad to have the app, just wish it worked a little better. And I agree with others who would like to see what the settings are. This would mean easier control for sure. Maybe in the next version of the app?I'm happy with my new Starkey Soundlens hearing aids. I had used PAC Sebotek 720's for many years, and really liked the ease of the one-button control. The Starkey iic is pretty cool, and of course could only work with a remote control. But it is wrong when Starkey says the T2 control works with cordless and wired touchtone phones. Not mine anyway. I have several Panasonic 6.0 Plus cordless phones and they don't work to control the T2. These are pretty new phones. It would be good to be able to adjust the settings with a cordless phone when I'm walking around the house without my iPhone in my pocket. When I purchased these hearing aids the Audiologist did say that the control would be by iPhone. This app was not mentioned.This is a good app to have, but be prepared to fall back to your iPhone keypad for consistent control.
