Record GPS tracks with iPhone or Apple Watch. Offline maps, waypoints & photos included. No registration, no ads — just pure GPS tracking.
myTracks turns your iPhone or Apple Watch into a fully functional GPS logger. The GPS recordings can be displayed on various maps, which are also available offline when needed. During a recording, you can set waypoints and give them a name to mark important locations. In addition to waypoints, you can also take photos in myTracks that are then directly linked to the GPS track. GPS tracks are stored exclusively on your iPhone, meaning you don't need to register or sign in anywhere. If you'd like, you can sync all your GPS tracks via iCloud across your devices (iOS and macOS).
You can start and stop GPS recordings individually, or use the battery-saving journal mode, where myTracks automatically creates a single track with the most important locations for each day. You can conveniently manage your GPS tracks in the track library. From there, you can export tracks or their associated photos — for example, by email — and share them on social media.
The built-in Apple Watch app displays information about the current GPS recording, including the start time, distance traveled, current altitude, minimum and maximum altitude, and the current map view. You can start and stop the iPhone's GPS recording from your Apple Watch and add waypoints. Since myTracks 5, you can also record tracks directly with your Apple Watch.

But I noticed that it doesn’t let me track all my driving on one map; every time I stop recording and start again it creates another file and separates my tracks, which is not what I want it to do. When I use the “pause recording” function to solve this, the recording stops but the timer continues...so the timer would constantly be running on my phone while I’m not using it. A resolution to these simple things would make this app fantastic.
Use it only to track where I drive. Each that hold a separate map lined out wherever you traveled but only when you access that specific map. I use this app to build a map and keep track of all the roads I drive on. There is only 1 map already marked and if I wanted to track a run or use the app for any other purpose I have to completely delete my progress to start another. If the map and its track could be saved to reopen and continue to track later this app will be golden!

Ive been using this app for near a year so far it’s pretty decent it has a learning curve to it for sure but not bad lately it’s been deleting my maps though if I hadn’t saved them in files I wouldn’t have my routes the developer listened and added the feature to color flags and add icons I love this app but I really need it to stop deleting my files
