PREREQUISITES
• Camera: for photo transfers to read invoices, remittance slips or QR codes
• Microphone: to use call from-within-the-app function
• Location approval: to search for ATMs and branches

• Network: the app requires an internet connection to the bank. To check the connection, we need the right to view the network status.
• Hard-/software checks of your device: At runtime, we check known, security-relevant attack vectors (e.g. rooted/jailbreak, malicious apps, etc.)
• faceID usage: to make easier login for the customers
NOTE
With iOS, rights are always assigned in groups. So, we need to request permissions for all topics, even if we only need one permission from the group. We use these rights only for the purposes mentioned here, within the app, and do not access your personal data. Since I am in the USA and need to conduct many banking activities while traveling, I can say without question that this is the best banking app that I have used. In conjunction with the PhotoTAN app I am able to do everything I need to do from my phone. The app has exactly the features that I need (ability to pay, check balances, check company Mastercards, receive monthly pdf statements, and even get connected with English speaking bank representatives faster than by dialing on the phone!In my opinion, do not change anything, you might break what is already working perfectly. Sometimes, more is not better, and that is a rare statement coming from an American ;)

No Service at all anymore since 2 weeks

Commerzbank seems to have trouble with their system since 2 weeks now, but you can‘t just leave your customers without any service! The cards don’t work, the money transfers don’t work, the chat bot never worked and nobody‘s picking up the phone anymore either. Why can‘t they at least give some information and explanation on their app?Who is reimbursing us for fees relating to unpaid bills I wonder.If it wasn‘t for my partner, who luckily isn‘t with Commerzbank, we couldn’t even buy groceries anymore!If there‘s no service at all, we can also go to online banks, where we get interest and no fees aply for acounts and cards - Commerzbank is their best agent now for sure!

1) faceID has not worked since OS13. When I try it tells me to call the service number. So I always have manually input my password 2) one can not change the amount being transferred. I have to leave it, input the ref number review all info then click on the amount in order to change the value. So I need to go forward then step back to go forward again. One should be able to just click on the euro value and change on the first go. 3) this is a small one but has bugged me since the beginning. When there is no reference number the font color being used to prompt the user to enter one, is a light grey, hard to read and it’s ugly. I would suggest making it white.

Won‘t increase the 2000€ credit card limit - no reason provided

Using the in-app customer service with multiple re-directions didn’t help increase the unjustified low credit card limit. At some point I‘ve been asked to call the card‘s customer service which wondered why the CS diverted me to them. After re-trying the the in-app support I‘ve been asked why I keep requesting it since they told me it is not possible, which is not true, I‘ve only been forwarded from CS to consultant, then to card‘s own support and then back to CS. I‘ve spend in total more than two hours without being provided with a reason for the rejection.
