The Italian Coeliac Association (AIC) provide all its members with an App enhancing the quality of daily life of people affected by Coeliac Disease: AIC Mobile.
Thank to this App, people affected by Coeliac Disease have the opportunity to find gluten free products and safe venues on their smartphone or tablet, everywhere, at home, on holiday and on a business trip.
AIC Mobile App has different sections: Eating Out, Food&Drink Directory, Gluten-free store, to choose where to buy and to eat gluten free in the most safe and comfortable way.
AIC Mobile can be downloaded for free by members, but everybody can purchase a temporary version. The temporary version fees will help the Association realizing new activities and supporting people affected by coeliac disease. You can help AIC and find out useful information to improve the quality of life of people affected by Coeliac Disease and their relatives just with a tap!
Furthermore, a Free version is available to spread correct information about Coealiac Disease and Dermatitis herpetiformis.

I am sad that as a tourist visiting Italy, I can only pay the $2.99 to access gluten free venues twice for 2 weeks, then I would have to join the AIC, which I cannot do, because I don’t live in Italy. Your app is so helpful to people with celiac that travel to Italy. Please give tourists the ability to access gluten free venues as many times as they want. I am willing to pay every time. Thank you!

I’ve been using the app for the last few hours and all the issues with people saying the app doesn’t recognize membership seem to be solved. The app is very complete and perfect for my two week trip. I’m not sure what would happen beyond there though.

Finding restaurants with the app was so easy! There are definitely some restaurants with good gluten free practices that aren’t on the app but there were so many hidden gems on the app that we otherwise would never had found. We were only in Rome for a week so the temporary access worked great for us as tourists. Grazie!

This app helped make our trip to Italy amazing. To be able to find safe restaurants in every city was incredible. Thank you AIC!It would be nice to be able to use the app for more than 2x2 weeks as a visitor/tourist.
