October 12: Just started with the app at 5:00am. I’ve been doing ten minute sessions every 20 minutes, and I’m copying like crazy with about 96% accuracy. Yes I’m fueled by excitement and will likely slow down in the near future, but this app gives me the confidence I was lacking. Progress tracking after every session makes it pretty addicting. Keep adding letters eafter hitting 90% and push yourself to keep learning. Using a pen and paper makes it feel very authentic. I’ll review again after a few days. So far this is a hoot.October 20: I find copying at 20-23wpm with 2 character Farnsworth spacing is perfect for me. My brain is happy with 20-25 minute practice sessions and sometimes two on a weekend. After the lessons, I like to practice keying my radio with VOX turned off with practice conversations like QRL, CQ, stations numbers, and prosigns. Still completely hooked on the app. I think keeping the letter speed up is really important. It lets me hear the rhythm of it. More later..November 19: I've managed to do about 10 min per day practice on average. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I can now copy the entire alphabet at about 15 WPM with occasional brain freezes and blank starts off into space. I can key about 20 wpm but the challenge is copying. HUGE RECOMMENDATION: Once you hit about lesson 25, start only copying practice sessions in your head. Writing creates some obstacles. I've had two really bad QSOs but they were quite invigorating. I'm certain an FCC van on the way to my house for violating common CW decency. ;^). I like setting letter speed to 23WPM with 2-4 farnsworth spacing. It's all about the rhythm. Be careful driving and copying. Your brain leaves your body from time to time. More later.

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot for a 99c app- but wow. It’s got a lot going on. It’s a really solid app. Yes, you do need pen/paper to write what you hear, but if you’re in the field, you’re going to be doing that anyway. Train how you’re gonna g to actually be doh g it :) The ramp up is nice, ability to use Farnsworth spacing and Koch learning = win. I was also pleased to find that I could build my own character lists and use Dropbox to transfer them. Thanks again for building a solid app.

It may be the hardware I'm using (iPhone, iPad), but changing the Farnsworth spacing can be a challenge, very sensitive and twitchy. Other similar issues, though not as bad as this one, throughout. It was fun to take along on a long road trip.Put it on bluetooth audio through the car stereo, programmed in 10 minutes at a time, and recited back the characters using phonetics. After a while it became automatic, no thought involved. What a rush!

I have used applications on my computer, but it is nice to have a full featured app also on my phone. Good to brush up on speed. I like that it is focused around copying on paper. I know some people take issue with it, but when I copy Morse I want to do it on paper not onto my phone. It makes sense for me to train the way I intend to use it.

This quick turn around hot fix addresses an intermittent crash discovered by one of the intrepid Morse Elmer users affecting the "Play last character of the training set" functionality on the Settings Tab in the Training Set section.
