As of January 2, 2023 this app has not been updated in six years. There are too few features and when I go to switch a patient’s appointment to another day it often crashes. Because this app plays such an important function in scheduling it is inexplicable there has been no updates in over half a decade.

This app is terrible. I have used many different EMR mobile versions over the years and this one is the worst by far. The capabilities are VERY limited. You cannot even put in a simple note. When we contacted the company we were told that there were no plans to improve this function. It is basically only good for scheduling patients and reading previously scanned documents. And the most frustrating thing is that the security features are not only way too intense, they cause you to not be able to log in sometimes. Are you actively using the app for more than five minutes? Got to put your password back in. Switched to another app for half a second to look at an X-ray? Got to put your password back in. Trying to reopen the app without using it for a few minutes? Good luck with that because it is going to say that it no longer works and you have to restart it. Sending an email through the app and you had to check your contacts page? Guess what, now everything is erased because whoever created this app is a moron and doesn’t know anything about how people practice medicine in a practical sense. The EPIC mobile app is way less strict with the password thing. This app is frustrating and barely worth the space on your phone. If you are thinking about wasting your money on CareCloud for your practice don’t do it. The developers need to trash this entire thing and start from scratch.

The app is slow and quirky, but the problem is the company. We had upgraded to get “concierge” services. The right hand does not know what the left is doing. Abysmal communications. As an example, they did not tell Medicare we were moving … so 5 months of no Medicare checks!. My nurse practitioner is close to quitting … she figured out CareCloud was getting lots of denials … we hired a different company that has been figuring it all out and money is starting to flow. I told care cloud they were fired and it took 3 months to make it happen.

I love CareCloud. It is a phenomenal software for medical practices. I want readers to know that this review is only getting 2 stars because I think the carecloud app needs an update. However, the entire software in general also needs an update. It would be highly convenient to make the app more efficient. I would like for the carecloud app to be updated in the following areas:1. Create new patients2. Edit patient demographics 3. Incorporate the carecloud patient portal into the app for employees.4. Allow e-prescribing so that we don’t have to call pharmacies all day long and not bother the doctor to create a new “simple encounter” in order to electronically send medications to pharmacies (this is a problem on the actual software as well). 5. Create a better method for notifying the office when pharmacies/ patients request a medication refill. 6. Automated phone calls for appointment reminders (software in general). The automated text messages are great, however, many older patients still lack cell phones.7. Be able to instantly fax a patients face sheet from carecloud directly. Currently, we have to print them and fax them, or download them and save them to the patients chart and then send them electronically. This simple feature would save so much time during the busy work day. 8. Provide more details in carecloud referrals. Provide more than just the name of the provider we are referring to. Currently, the doctor will print the referrals and the front desk employees will write the providers specialty, phone number, and address on the referral and then scan the referrals into the patients chart. This process takes up an incredible amount of time for us. It’s would be extremely helpful if that information could be printed out on the referrals and have the referrals automatically load into the patients chart for easy access if we needed to print them out again/ send them to the doctor we are referring the patient to.There are many others but these are the big ones that we would really like to see happen. I know you guys can do it! Carecloud is great! I would just like for it to be even greater! I hope someone reads this and really takes my recommendations into consideration
