With the Nusenda Credit Union Mobile Banking App, access your accounts and loans anytime, anywhere. You can check balances, view account activity and history, pay bills on-the-go, transfer funds to anyone with just an email address or phone number, make account and member-to-member transfers, deposit checks, and locate branches and ATMs.
If you are concerned about a misplaced debit card, you can log into the app and lock your card to reduce the chances of unauthorized transactions to your account. Follow the same process to unlock your card when it is found.

I absolutely love this Credit Union. I love this app! I used to bank with Wells Fargo and Bank of America, but there were so many fees. What made me finally switch was when I got injured at work. When I went to cash my Workmans comp check at Wells Fargo, they told me they had to hold all but $50 of it !! I literally had to wait Thurs, Friday, the weekend and then Monday because it was a holiday. They told me the system would recognize my check after about 4 weeks of deposits. I went to another branch because that branch always gave me trouble. Six months later, I went to the first branch and they tried to hold all but $50 again!!! Nope. Nusenda is a fantastic place to be a member of!! The tellers are super friendly, the service is outstanding, and quick! Nobody could pay me to switch! You will absolutely love it!

Functional But Lacking Important Elements

I have been a member of Nusenda since they were NM Educators…needless to say I am a dedicated member. What has been becoming an issue for me as a new business owner is how vague and detail-less the app and even E-statements. There’s no CLEAR differentiation in the app anywhere that shows the difference between a cash deposit or a check deposit. Every deposit “TYPE” is marked as “CREDIT”…which makes absolutely no sense…It’s become incredibly frustrating…in other words…when you are in the app and you click the “statement description”…this piece is essentially useless to anyone who needs to see actual details of their deposits…just listing the address of the deposit location and the date is not helpful. Additionally, there is nowhere to actually view the details of a check deposit (unless you print a receipt with the check image that is only occasionally printed clear enough to actually see the check’s details)…all you can see, even on your E-statements is a bunch of numbers…the check # is mixed in there somewhere…but that’s all you see. You can’t even see the name of the person who wrote the check to you, the account holder. When I called to ask Nusenda about this…they said I would have to pay them a fee to go back in to my banking history to find all of this information for me…which also makes absolutely no sense…in 2022 I would think that account holders should be able to access a more detailed description of their banking history from the app or their online account. I really do hope in time this can be improved upon…at the very least the “Statement Description” improved to actually reflect accurately a deposit made by a member. Food for thought…and constructive criticism that I hope is heard.

The app is great, I use it daily with everything I need available. The app gives all necessary information quickly and completely. It doesn’t require excessive data or power. I give it a 10 of 10 for my opinion of its quality and effectiveness. Good job Nusenda! I have been lucky enough to have Nusenda as my bank since College a long time ago and have never been disappointed. I plan to keep them as my bank for the rest of my foreseeable future. Don’t get me wrong, I like this app. It’s just not quite all there. The menu is responsive almost to a fault. Like, why does it scroll? Switching between submenus results in an awkward, “open/close”exchange, which is I guess why the entire menu would scroll, but it’s just kind of weird. Also - why does basically every action in the menu result in a pop-up-type window. Maybe it’s for my security, but I already passed the biometric (FaceID) test in order to enter the app. Maybe it’s got something to do with the independent providers of the services, like the credit score checker, that are built into the app. Maybe all of the above. Still, I don’t like it. This app runs and feels like a last-minute project put together the week before finals. It works, and it works well, but the aesthetic and structural choices leave something to be desired. And the whole pop-up thing really should be fixed. It makes me feel like I’ve done something wrong or broken the app or something.ALSO also - This is not to say that other banking apps are any better. I think that even the biggest banks’ have serious work to do. Mobile banking has become very important to people and peer to peer digital banking apps are by far the very best examples of good money apps both functionally and aesthetically.
