A lot of reviews here are negative! I get it. I almost fell in that category. Initially, I could not sign up/ log in in the app. It kept saying “Error - Something went wrong. Please try again later.” The sales person at the Mazda dealer couldn’t figure it out. She reached out for help but to no success. I called the tech support in the customer care hot line and the person was very positive about being able to fix the problem. After about half an hour of trouble shooting—he’s dumbfounded why it wouldn’t work. Then I thought to myself... let me check the settings on my phone. For personal reasons I decided to put a restriction on my phone. I am using VPN internet monitoring and replaced my safari browser with a third party app. All I did is restore the settings to original and MyMazda app worked like a charm! My favorite (for obvious reasons) is the REMOTE START! So cool. I always hated trying to reach for my keys when I’m getting in the car especially when I’m holding something on one hand and my phone on the other. Now, I don’t have to. The app locks and unlocks your car! It also shows you the status of the car if the doors are locked, current mileage, tire air pressure and it alerts you if there’s something wrong. All in all it’s freakin amazing! You have to experience the app for a complete understanding of it’s awesomeness! Word to the wise. Before you get frustrated with the app consider the fact that it maybe your phone that has the issue and not the app! ZOOM ZOOM! #❤️mymazda
Good But Needs Add’l Functionality

I appreciate the app for what it is, and I’m not here to discuss how I feel about what Mazda provides for what it costs (or doesn’t cost, if you’re still in the free period like me).In general - for me - the app does what it’s supposed to and works about as often as any app or digital service does (read: nothing is perfect). It’s not an outlier in that regard, so it gets a 4. I would upgrade to a 5 if it had Siri Shortcut integration, and if the visual manual/help/“whatever-that-thing-is” was less confusing, more comprehensive, and if the Search Function pulled up more information. When I use that OM Search function, it’ll pull up search terms that are very related as I’m typing, but then when I select one to search, it’ll say No Results. So I’m not sure if those search terms are just what other people have tried, or it’s trying to pre-populate based on something else. Either way, I don’t end up getting the info I want and just use Reddit/the Interwebs anyway.Bonus points if it pulled and showed more data about the current state of my car, and allowed for more control over the state of various instruments and features when using Remote Start (like an option to turn on heated seats).
Needs improvement

When trying to schedule a maintenance appointment, I can’t easily change the dealership I would like to utilize based off my current location considering there is not a dealership within 90 minutes of my home now. I have to go to the actual dealerships website as the app does not give any options to modify location. It would also so be convenient if the app would show which tire has low pressure since for some reason my actual upgraded and new car model than my previous does not have that function compared to my older/lower model Mazda I had previously that was 13k cheaper. Kind of embarrassing that basic features like specific tire indicators aren’t included in EVERY software programming of all Mazdas. Why so inconsistent? I’ve been a loyal Mazda owner since 2013 and am considering a change due to the inconsistencies. I’d just expect basic programming to be standard across the board. And honestly the lack of console storage is another hit, there’s truly no good place for storage in these cars. More importantly who thought the cup holder design under the dash or right under the arm was a good idea? Either my cup/ normal straw (not talking Stanley) doesn’t fit under the dash or it’s hitting my forearm when I try to rest it on my center console that is so far back compared to my seat and does not slide adjust at all. Lastly, I’m not sure why but in my current car specifically the seat belt rides so high. It’s constantly rubbing my neck. I have never had this issue in my other Mazdas. I hate to give up my Mazda but these small features of comfort and app functionality are actually quite frustrating.
Incredibly slow

This app only works like 40% of the time flawlessly. It’s guaranteed that at least three times a week this app LAGS to actually open and be functional. This morning I opened the app at exactly 7 am. At 7:06, I was finally able to get into the app to use the remote start. This was after failed attempts with error messages, buffering, and twice it opened, but was frozen. And this happens way too often. There were a couple of times overnight where you aren’t able to use the app because of maintenance. To fix what??? I struggle often throughout the week to get in the app to start my car. I love having this option, but it shouldn’t take 5 minutes or get into the app to use it. This is with 5G service and a full connection to wifi. But I am still receiving the wrong “cannot connect to a network”. Oh, also my password is saved. But I still receive the error that “the password is incorrect” and I have to enter it manually. Yes, I have the option check to remember me/password.
