I needed to have something other than earplugs to drown out noise around me being that I don't live alone. Dogs barking, tv noise and other distractions that keep me up around easier to deal with now. I just wish the app had more than 4 options because I really enjoy the headphones and would like other varieties.

I started listening to binaural beats music/sounds several months ago, mostly using the free ones that AcousticSheep had available for download. I have slept with earbuds of and on over the years, and don't own any sleepphones or such, but I was curious if the music would help me fall asleep if I listened to it with only a bluetooth speaker I have on my nightstand. And WOW it really works! My favorite tune is Newport Waves. If I need to get to sleep fast, that's my go-to tune, and I fall asleep always within 10 minutes, usually quicker. If you have trouble falling asleep, give these sounds a try. They really do help!

I downloaded this app to go with the sleep phones I ordered. I bought this for an 11 hr plane ride so I wanted to test the app out at home first to see if my battery can last a whole night running this app without it being plugged in. Even on airplane mode this app killed my phone that was at 60% at some point in the night. I downloaded the free mp3s and put them in my iTunes and that only eats about 30% of my battery on airplane mode. So while the app is convenient. If you are going to use this app while traveling when it can't be plugged in, don't. Just download them free and put them on your iTunes.

I recommend sleepphones to anyone who'd like to have a very comfortable pair of headphones to sleep in, or even to just wear for things. Since it's a headband I can use it for housework also. These songs are available as free mp3 downloads on their website but having them in an app is very convenient. Though the sleep phones aren't required, being binaural, you should wear stereo headphones while listening to this app...
