A++ I have been using this app to track my (very long and irregular periods) for almost three years now. The longer you use it, the more accurate it becomes. I love the layout of it, the color/font design, and it is easy to navigate. The options to record symptoms, weight, and moods, too, are very helpful at detecting patterns in my body and emotional state during different phases of my menstrual cycle. One thing I would like to see: my cycles are sometimes over 45 days, but the app ignores them and grays those cycles out because it thinks I forgot to record a period in there somewhere. I’d like a function to tell it that the 48-or-whatever days was the full cycle length, so it will take that into account in its future predictions.

I have been using this app since OCTOBER 2016! Almost ten years! I used to LOVE this app! I finally bit the bullet and got a silver subscription a couple years ago, because I wanted to get rid of the ads. At the time, the ads were a minor inconvenience, but I figured $10/year was worth it to support this app. Now, I log back into the app to discover that the silver plan has changed to $25/ year. A 2.5x change! I was never informed of this change. How is this right? How is it that the basic plan only offers SIX MONTHS of history! I’ve been using this app for TEN!!! YEARS!!! If I can’t afford the monthly payment or the yearly payment, then I lose TEN YEARS of data??!! That is so BEYOND messed up. I have health conditions that REQUIRE me to keep track of my period data over YEARS.To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. To anyone looking for a cute period app, know this: the app is cute, but NOT worth $25/year for BASIC features.If they could bring back the $10 tier with just the unlimited history AND ad-free AND the themes— that would be worth it… but for now, $25 is too steep for features that I can’t even use/didn’t ask for…

We are migrating to a more capable platform to encrypt data, store it more reliably, ensure timely backup and sync it across devices. All of your data is safe - only syncing to the device is limited. Your cycle history can be viewed in the graphs under 'Insights' and you can also export all data through the 'Email all data' feature under accounts. Another consistent feedback we have from users is to make Maya ad free. The new subscription plans are aimed at removing intrusive ads from Maya in the coming months. We sincerely hope that you will continue to support us as we strive to make Maya the best - Sarah for Team Maya!

The actual content related to the app is good however it’s a real inconvenience to use when 50% of the time you open it a full screen ad pops up. In honesty it makes me want to use this app less frequently which I presume is not what the developers want. Most of the ads are for gaming and the last ad I was served was for an anime game that was about a cheating boyfriend...not really something that would resonate with the audience that use this app and certainly at an irrelevant moment. When I’m tracking my menstrual cycle do advertisers really believe I want to play a game right now?! Maybe consult a group of women first before another brilliant advertising idea gets approved🙄. Here’s some free advice- if they really need advertising dollars restrict advertisers to those that fit in relevant mindset such as tampons, profilactics, hearing pads, midol, pregnancy tests, etc etc.Please don’t suggest I pay to “upgrade” to ad-free version. We as women are underpaid and overtaxed (see: PinkTax) so between that and what women spend in birth control, sanitary pads, etc per month- paying men for premium PMS motioning is just not gunna happen.
