I’m looking for an alternative to the Storm app that got updated by The Weather Channel. I like the WeatherNation TV channel so I thought I would give the App a try. Unfortunately I’m not impressed by their App. In order for it to find your location you have to mark “Always” for location services, you cannot use “while using the app”. I would like to have the ability to overlay more items on the radar (ie fronts, clouds). It would also be nice to pause the radar and still see it versus always having to be in motion loop. I sent two feedback emails and it has been over one week and I have had no response in any form. Unfortunately I am still in search of another good radar app

App Knight Five
Weather Nation offers an attractive service offering by providing straight forward and easy to access real-time weather information. I use the Apple TV app daily for quick updates. I am rating the tvOS app lower today, because latest Apple tvOS upgrade introduced a performance issue. Specifically, the WN app menu now defaults and freeze on the apps “Setting” button on my latest generation Apple TV box. The issue occurs after exiting the live video “full screen” feature. I can access the apps “Setting” submenus, but not the other top menu items.Exiting and closing the WN app resets the menu system. Removing and reinstalling the app, and/or restarting the Apple TV itself, also resets the WN app menu.My rating is four stars for the tvOS service (minus one for the bug issue). Not 5 stars? I suspect that the WN app tvOS app could be optimized to improve performance. I also suggest that the live radar feature is too simplistic and would be improved if reimagined.
Not a fan of landscape only

So, I do love the fact that there aren’t 10 million ads coming up every 5 seconds, and I love the live stream. I love the functionality of this app, and the accuracy of the alerts. However, I just wish they would make it work in portrait mode and not just landscape mode. Have the tiles move downward on the page when in portrait mode or make it scroll side to side. Having to run in landscape mode all the time is a tad annoying. Otherwise, it’s a great app.
Finally A weather station not trying to entertain.

This is the best. All the other stations have gone to a entertainment platform that barely gives any weather at all. If I wanna be entertainment I’ll watch Netflix. This is a great app. I go to live stream and it’s all weather across the country all the time. I travel the country back and forth for weeks at a time. Weather information is very important. This station seems to be the only one left that gives us just that. National weather. Thanks Weather Nation an keep up the great work.
