Good app, verging on great

It’s a good app. I use it frequently. There’s a few things that I wish were better:1. I wish I could save my schedule as a favorite so I don’t have to scroll through all of them in our practice.2. I wish the date selector was a calendar instead of a scroll wheel. Frequently I know I want something the following Tuesday, but don’t know the date. It’s annoying having to cross reference on another Calendar app to figure out which day I need to scroll to.

A lot of unfixed issues and accessibility problems

There’s a lot of issues here. A long-standing bug where you can’t actually create a reoccurring telehealth series. The telehealth option gets turned off with no way to turn it back on. They’re f fully aware of it and report that they won’t fix it because enough people have it reported it as an issue even though it’s clearly a bug. Similarly, they don’t pay as much attention to accessibility as is needed. Both on the desktop, and on the mobile side, accessibility isn’t really much of a priority. And a person is maybe one or two issues away from not being able to use the service altogether. There’s a need to improve overall accessibility. For example, typing is a nightmare on this app for a person using the voiceover screen reader. Similarly the schedule tab has a lot of accessibility issues and a lot of the color coordinated holds and openings aren’t even announced. Again, they are aware of the issue, but after several years, have done nothing to actually resolve it.

Continues to disappoint

This is my 3rd review. This app continues to struggle in basic mechanisms. Most recently, creating a blank document within this app seems to crash the entire app consistently. For schedule 2 drugs, there’s still not an option to pick the “DNF Until” date. I previously wrote an in-depth review in an attempt to provide feedback, but AdvancedMD (MediocreMD?) continues to neglect these. Given their poor support, collection of fixes that are made permanent rather than developing a proper fix, need for redundancies, lack of intuitive interface, and countless little problems that litter then entire app (both the mobile app and the web-based main app), I will continue to pressure my employer to find an alternative EHR. I have never used an EHR that continually disappoints. I would like to compile a list of issues, but each time I have tried it becomes a project that is so overwhelming I have to abandon it. Their lack of useful support in the past lets me know this effort will be in vain. Things that can be done to improve: 1) beta test… and then listen to the beta testers! I would be happy to beta test for you and would do so for free, but only if you commit to taking any feedback seriously, 2) reduce redundancies, 3) modify your existing systems that would allow customization of basic functions (like quick-text) while reassuring administrators that this will not lead to a system crash, 4) incorporation of an effective speech-to-text engine, 5) a more robust list of screeners, 6) integration of patient handouts (they are currently blank), 7) minimizing clicks, 8) producing letters for referral sources that don’t require multiple steps and significant amounts of time (there are processes that can run in the background, rather than making the user wait). I know this sounds negative, but it’s a well-earned review. My employer is a 300+ clinic company and I will continue to apply pressure to look elsewhere for our EHR needs.

It’s convenient to have an app and it could be worse, but this is not very user friendly. I can’t seem to access the PM interface for viewing chart notes. I recognize that some work is meant for the computer, but it would be great if every single feature were available mobile for those of us working remotely. When my computer died, it was impossible to get my work done with this app. I know it’s a work in progress and you’ve done a lot of great stuff, I just hope the goal is to make every feature accessible via mobile app. Positive: the messages are easy to access from my phone, which is probably the most important thing for working mobile.

It’s convenient to have an app and it could be worse, but this is not very user friendly. I can’t seem to access the PM interface for viewing chart notes.
