Pacer is A Necessary App for Those Trying to Live a Healthier Life

I reached a crossroads in my life where a complete lifestyle change was necessary. I reached a point where if I kept living how I was, I would face massive health problems due to drinking excessively and being obese. When I quit drinking I also changed the way I routined myself and completely changed my diet to a militant vegan one. Getting started was tough but I found the strength to move and work hard towards my goal of a being a cleaner and leaner me. To keep me reigned in, I began the search for a step counter app but found them all to be either too much or too little. I found Pacer and decided to try it out and the one thing I liked right away was the clean and minimal UI and the widgets. I have since been tracking my effort for a year now and going forward I will be using the calorie counter to more efficiently track what’s going in my body for energy. Pacer has already helped me to reach my weight goal and believe it or not I’ve lost 120 pounds, I am getting leaner by the day, and I went from walking/hiking under a mile a day to averaging 7 miles a day and I feel great. People I’ve known for years don’t even recognize me from my former self. If you struggle with staying active, have a bad diet, and drink alcohol you can change that but it takes work. When you’re ready, Pacer can help you with coaching and by logging your diet and movements flawlessly. Lose some weight and feel better about yourself. You deserve it!

I’m a Healthcare provider and I travel around with various companies to provide health screenings. A lot of times I’m one of the techs that is chosen to provide health coaching since I’m very active and conscious about the things I choose to consume. A lot of the participants only need some encouragement and a gentle push in the right direction. Knowing I personally use this app and the benefits it has I often will recommend it to those participants that could also benefit. I love the personal goals that I customize for each day and once it’s set I don’t have to mess with it. I also love the reminders it gives me every morning just as another gentle nudge of encouragement Incase I’m feeling reluctant about being active that day. I love being able to physically check off each goal that I complete. I also really like the ability to upload photos related to the goal I completed. Helps really keep me accountable. The app is accurate for the most part and if I forget my phone while exercising I can manually input my exercise in afterwards. I love that it’s free and for the most part runs smoothly. I’ve had this app for a few years now and I’ll be honest there are times whenever it gets buggy and will delete some of the steps you’ve taken. It’s not often and they’re usually pretty good about fixing it whenever we make them aware of the issue. If you’re needing an extra incentive to aid you in your journey to a healthy lifestyle, I’d definitely recommend getting this app!

I I definitely try to walk 3 miles for the last three days some days I’m only able to walk 2 miles some days I’m only able to walk 1 mile some days I don’t feel good but after I push myself out the door and go walk 3 miles or 2 miles or even 1 mile I feel a lot better than I did before I walked out the door so I know walking helps me with my mood swings my back pain my leg pain it helps me feel a lot better and doing this coronavirus time do you have to get out and get some fresh air in your lungs and just take a moment to breathe and relax and exhale just take time because if you don’t you’re gonna have some problems with mental health problems if you don’t get out the house and exercise staying in that house all day and all night it does not help the mental state of mind you need to get out and exercise and walking is great I walk with my dog every other day mostly every day we walk somewhere some days I don’t feel very good and that one is down low but if I feel good I walked 3 miles a day thank you for encouraging and thank you for sharing and thank you for allowing me to use your app to monitor my footsteps every day in Jesus name I pray thank you very much Carolina Dickerson from the greater FederalWay Washington state I’ve been making 3 mile walks every day getting my walk in for my heart my anxiety I just getting out doing something positive with myself trying to stay healthy in Jesus name a man can’t leave Jesus out because he’s the reason for the season thank you God for everything you do for me and Jesus name amen
Great app—better than before

Whatever bug there was before has long been fixed. This app is fantastic, so disregard the negatives from my previous review and only pay attention to the positives! OLD REVIEW: I love this app! When I first started using it I would set my goal to at least 10,000 steps a day and could keep track of how many steps I was getting in when I would walk my dog, go to the gym, and walk around at work. It was great! I was so proud of myself when I would get to 10,000, 15,000 and then a record of 18,000 steps. So then I tried to beat my record and just the other day got up to over 21,000 steps. The only problem is that the next day when I was looking at my monthly average I saw that my 21,000-step day shot down to zero! What?! I thought maybe my phone just needed to be restarted so I tried that, opened up the app again and yep--sure enough, it still said zero steps for that day. Same thing happened the next day; my 10,000 steps turned to zero when I referred back to it. So I thought I was done with this app but then just today my steps reappeared! So I guess my only complaint is that the steps sometimes disappear for a few days and then magically appear again. It would be really nice if they could work that out--then it would be a five-star app all the way.
