SPOT CHECK INVENTORY — YOUR ON-THE-GO MINI 4TH STEP
Resentment is the number one offender. The Spot Check Inventory lets you quickly work through resentments, fears, personal conduct, and harms done — right from your phone. Based on the personal inventory process in Step 10 (the tenth step) of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, this tool helps with daily ups and downs when people or events throw you off balance. A portable mini fourth step you can use anytime, anywhere.
NIGHTLY INVENTORY — STEP 11 MADE EASY
Do you do a nightly inventory before retiring each night as suggested in Step 11 (the eleventh step) of the Big Book? Now it's easy. Answer 10 simple questions straight from the Big Book and you're done. Track your answers over time to spot patterns in your recovery and spiritual growth.
RECOVERY JOURNAL
Write about your recovery journey, step work, sober living, or whatever is on your mind. Journaling is a powerful tool for self-reflection and working a strong program. Keep a record of your thoughts and spiritual progress in one private, secure place.
GRATITUDE LIST
Practicing gratitude is one of the most effective spiritual practices in recovery from alcoholism. Build your gratitude list to remind yourself of the good things in your life, even on the hard days. An attitude of gratitude keeps you grounded in sobriety.
SOBRIETY CALCULATOR & SOBRIETY DATE TRACKER
Set your sobriety date or clean date and the counter automatically calculates days sober, months sober, years sober, even hours. Share milestones with your sponsor or trusted friends in the fellowship.
SHARE WITH YOUR SPONSOR
We are only as sick as our secrets. Text or email your journals, inventories, and gratitude lists directly to your sponsor or trusted adviser.
DAILY REFLECTIONS
Read the AA Daily Reflection for today from the Alcoholics Anonymous website. Start each morning grounded in recovery literature and meditation.

My Spiritual Toolkit has been a foundational part of my recovery for almost a decade now (as of this writing). I used to email my first sponsor, at his suggestion, my nightly 10th step review. When I switched to my second sponsor, I had a mini-crisis: should I keep sending my 10th steps to my first sponsor? Start sending them to my second sponsor, despite not yet being "at that step" in my second time through the 12 steps? This app was my solution, after I think hearing someone else mention it in a meeting. The data is portable, as is the app sign-in: I have 2 primary smartphone devices, both of which are logged in, and I have also used a laptop computer on occasion. I have still never used the "spot check" inventory feature, and that is probably shortcoming of my own recovery! But I smile when I see that, most nights, in the app, and think back to one of my favorite slogans which seems relevant: "if I don't get the program, the program will get me." The app has more tools than I have needed so far, and there is a comfort to knowing it has still more available should I need them. Nathan has also been very responsive and professional via email, for which I'm very grateful.
One of favorite apps 😊

This app was suggested by my sober house to do nightlys on. And going from hand writing them every night to be able to do them on my phone was a HUGE win right there in my eyes! But there is more pros.>>>I love how it gives you the option to send them off to your sponsor right there. Takes only seconds and such a huge convenience. I love how it has the daily reading available daily as well as some great prayers and they are only a click away. I did just get the premium edition which unlocks the JOURNAL option, SPOT CHECK INVENTORY(which I was just telling my room mate I’m excited for bc why point out your resentments every night in nightly if your not getting to the root of the problem?!) and it’s seriously so extensive How many areas you can address. I truly believe this option will be a staple in helping me become a better and recovered human. And it also unlocks the GRATITUDE LIST.One thing I must say I LOVE about this app is it’s very basic. There’s no frills or fuss or anything that 9/10 times ends up distracting me by pulling my attention elsewhere. You know what you gotta do, go on click the button at bottom, pick your option and you just do that work. A lot of apps try to offer so much that altho I’m trying to do 1 thing I go on and get distracted by something else and then end up in a rabbit hole for hours 😱 and most of time the original task doesn’t even end up getting done. Plus the creator of app (i believe) not sure if he is in recovery but he at the very least understands the steps and “we must give away what was so freely given to us” by making this app beyond affordable and even offering it to those who cannot afford it.I will forever be grateful for Nathan and for this app 🩷
Terrific app. Well done. Easy to use.

Thanks for a great little app. Everything is right there for those days when my brain is chewing away at my serenity and I can’t even remember the simplest prayers. Tracks my sobriety down to the hours which is all I could get through at some points. My Gratitude partner and I have been exchanging lists for almost two years, I think. Totally worth it!My only complaint is that sometimes the app is completely unresponsive. I _think_ it’s related to the use-larger-text setting (I have vision difficulties). It’s like the screen hotspot is in the wrong place so when I tap the screen, nothing happens because the hotspot is elsewhere. Hard to explain. But it usually starts working again after a couple of days. Keep up the good work!

It’s funny how easily I can start neglecting my daily inventories that keep me sane and sober. And when I do, someone’s always asking me, “How long has it been since you took a good nightly inventory? HA! Now it’s easier than ever to keep track of that, along with spot-check inventories, journals, gratitude lists, and all the prayers in recovery literature—all in one spot. Many of my friends use My Spiritual Toolkit app, and we love it. It’s a great way to stay accountable and aware, and with the subscription, you can keep all your stuff encrypted and archived. Recently I looked back on my first few inventories from years ago and man… what a long way I’ve come! So grateful for recovery—and for this app to help me keep track of what really matters. I highly recommend it.
