i’m writing this review before i finish planning my trip because i just love this app so far. it still seems like a work in progress but for the most part it’s fully functional! i wish there was a way to add what time you’re landing in the place at the beginning of the trip. if we were also able to see the time zones and the difference between then, that would be perfect. like the US has like 4 time zones and that’s confusing if you don’t know that and are planning a trip [wrote something here but erased it, they have a feature i didn’t figure out till now] overall it’s a cool app! if i could afford to travel more i’d use this app as my main planner instead of the google doc that i use. also note to developers: it would be cool if down the line there was a feature to export the trip as a pdf or whatever pdf file apple uses (pages? i don’t like it tbh). that would be awesome!only complaint is about adding hotels. sometimes i press the plus, add a link, and it doesn’t show up. i think it saves to my wishlist…

Great app if you use both web and mobile versions

While the app can sometimes crash, I found that using the desktop version to layout the foundations of your trip and then using the app during your trip to update destinations, update expenses, and view itineraries really made for a much easier trip experience where we didn’t need to use several different apps and sheets (especially the budget tool! Underrated)

It’s a cool app but…

Parts of this app I love, but it’s extremely limiting. For example, you can’t alter the dates between one destination to the next. Let’s say you’re taking a cruise and it takes 2 sea days to get from Singapore to Phuket, you can’t account for those 2 days in the planner, it only gives you a 24 hour option which is crazy. The next thing I don’t like is the app doesn’t sync from my phone to my iPad. This is extremely annoying. Whatever changes I make using my iPhone I’ll have to separately go into the iPad app and make those same changes. The third thing I don’t like about this app to the point I may just stop using it all together is every time I do ANYTHING in the app, such as pick a place to eat, the app will freeze for AT LEAST 2 minutes. I wish this app was way more customizable in terms of dates, in between places, etc like TripIt. What I love about it is how it will create a little video of your trip and you can visually see your route, I also love the suggestions like hotels, things to do, and places to eat…love those features. I’d be more than happy to pay for this if they make it better all the way around.

If you add a transport ferry, you can toggle 'overnight transport' and add multiple nights to the transport to account for te transport!2. Yes for now you have to indeed restart the app on your ipad to see the changes! We will be implementing a refresh option in the app soon! 3. About the freezing, wow thats very annoying sorry! Could you let us know at support@stippl.io what you were trying to do? We might be able to solve it for you!!

As someone who works in the travel industry, I really wanted to love this app. I was specifically looking for an alternative to Wanderlog, but after spending time with Stippl, I still think Wanderlog is the superior product.The biggest issue is usability. This is honestly one of the most difficult travel apps I’ve ever tried to use. Simple tasks—like importing flights, adding them manually, or organizing an itinerary—are far more complicated than they should be. Flights with overnight or long layovers don’t import correctly, manually entered dates frequently save on the wrong day, and moving items into your itinerary often just doesn’t work. Uploading travel confirmations is also slow and unreliable.On top of that, the app crashes frequently, making an already frustrating experience even harder to use. I found myself spending more time trying to figure out the app than actually planning my trip.That said, I genuinely think this app has a ton of potential. The calendar view is absolutely fantastic and, in my opinion, the best feature of the app. It’s clean, easy to read, and exactly how I want to visualize my travel plans. If the developers can improve the stability and simplify the workflow for basic travel planning, I think this could become an excellent app. Right now, though, it’s just too frustrating to recommend.
