THESE THINGS ARE WICKEDLY GOOD, slick as hell…even though they may be outdated in years, definitely doesn’t mean it’s outdated in audio deliverance, and appearance because jeeze did these put my other headphones in perspective like (SC:Crusher, Studio Pros, Bose QC Ultra EB, etc.) they all sound cheap in comparison may be rich in some qualities such as bass, or mid or ease of buttons. But when I say that none of that matters when you put these on you feel like you’re transpired into a cinema/concert. All bass, mids, and high blend in well. No distortion, no muddiness, vocals aren’t suppressed by bass. They are truly and genuinely balanced, quite surreal. They are not only great, they are excellent. Thank you Sen. for your great accomplishment on these. Hope the M5’s are more supped up!
Great App, But Please Add a 10-Band Parametric EQ
You'reGameSucks
The Smart Control Plus app is really one of the best headphone companion apps I have ever used. It has a very clean, sleek, and modern design. The feature settings are straightforward to locate and adjust; I really appreciate the broad range of options I am able to change. This app gives me most of the options I want without being cluttered. That said, the one thing that I find sorely missing is, hopefully, something Sennheiser is listening to: a real 10-band parametric EQ. The 5-band design does much to remind us of the possibilities, but it feels like a system without enough levels of control for any user wanting something a little more refined. To add to this is the problem that the app does not display the Q value of each of the bands, which makes it hard to know just how narrow or how wide each adjustment is. For someone attempting to nail down a more precise or Harman-target-like sound signature, this is paramount. These headphones are definitely pitched at the audiophile crowd with features such as an audiophile-grade sound mode. It's downright shocking to consider that you might need to get a Qudelix 5K just to have EQ control that really ought to be at the fingertips of a product at this price point and for this target market. Please take into consideration the addition of a 10-band parametric EQ for a future update-the demand for such is clearly there among your more audio-conscious users. If this happens, my rating for this app will easily be a 5/5!
Quality Sound, App/headphones lacks many features I’d like to see.

While my Accentum Wireless Headphones are top notch quality in terms of build materials and sound, the app is frankly mediocre, If you prefer to have your headphones on transparency mode rather than ANC you have to change the mode within the app, while this may seem insignificant, it’s very inconvenient to reopen the app for this. A second feature I’d like to see but it missing is a feature where my headphones power on and automatically select whichever mode I set on the app. Maybe even a feature where my pause/play button on my Accentums can be held down to change modes like how the Apple AirPods work. 🤞Other than small inconveniences within the app Im rating it 4 stars because all of the features work, the layout of the app is a little messy but the headphones sound amazing.
Developer Response
You can use the main button to switch between the active noise cancellation ANC and the Transparency Mode, e.g. if you want to transition from ambient awareness to idle mode as quickly as possible. Note this is not possible during an active call. Great app! A few suggested improvement
Daleboat
This app is quite well put together and very customizable, Sennheiser really listens to its customers! Controlling the HDB 630 has been a total breeze, instructions are very clear, items are located in logical places, etc.If I may make a suggestion, could it be possible to enable only certain touch controls on the HDB 630? Such as keeping the double tap to enable/disable ANC and single tap to pause/play audio, but disabling swipe for volume up/down or swipe to move forward/backwards on a song. The headsets touchpad can get confused with inputs, I think being able to reduce the possible inputs will really help with consistent controls the user wants, and no additional inputs that could confuse the headset.Second suggestion would be a toggle to enable or disable the BT 700’s light. It can be very very bright in a dark room. Just being able to turn it off and use the app to see the connection quality would be ideal!Thank you for a great app, hopefully these potential improvements can make it even better!
• Support for BTA1, RS 275, and ACCENTUM Taupe
• Added Italian as a new app language
• Fixed handling of unsaved EQ presets
