I love my nutritionist. She works with me where I am even with my diseases and allergies that make it really hard plan food. The nutritionists have a new tool to make meal plans with you that I absolutely love, love, love! I need to loose weight but I needed to learn to eat again after not eating right for 3 months in the hospital with my father who eventually passed away. Nothing I tried at home was working. I found the Nourish app by accident and checked to see if they took my insurance. I had other nutritionists before and they did what they could even though I actually gained weight with them but I wanted to try again. No fault of mine or theirs(insurance changes) I have had 3 Nourish nutritionists before my current nutritionist. They have all been supportive and helpful with ideas I wouldn’t have thought of. It is so refreshing to know some weeks I did everything right even if I didn’t loose weight and to have someone there to cheer me on when I do loose weight! I would not have that without this app and my nutritionist. Oh and they pay for basic bloodwork every 4 months to see where you are in your journey to getting healthier. You can’t see what your cholesterol, blood sugars and many other things are doing in your body and you need to know so you can modify your meals.
Worth Trying

So ironically, I found them through TikTok and I was like on the fence about it because for the last couple years, I’ve been told that hey adding a nutritionist would be pretty ideal for like my situation… without really getting into it I have some health issues like if I eat some types of cheese or drink some kind of milk it’ll set off IBS, but I can have full fat milk products if they’re frozen and be totally fine, which makes absolutely no sense! On top of that, I developed some disordered eating just for my job and like the inability to have a set schedule for eating.. and from having to do different elimination, diets over the years, actually developed an avoidance food disorder… I will tell you to like write some information down before you sign up because you have about 10 minutes to fill everything out because it’s trying to match you but they actually want you to be pretty detailed… it took me three tries to find a nutritionist that like really works with me and like really wants me to succeed! Understands like my work schedule and why the disordered eating became a thing and just suggest things, but doesn’t get overly disappointed when things fall through the cracks… she’s definitely really good at her job and if she doesn’t know she doesn’t make it up. She just says she’d have to look into it or XYZ which I come from a medical professional background… and that’s all you can ever really hope for is just honesty! My insurance does cover it entirely so I show up every two weeks or so and pay a time.. sometimes the sessions are 55 minutes long and sometimes they’re like 30 minutes… if you don’t find the first nutritionist thoughtful, there are so many and you do get to choose somewhat.. it’s kind of like choosing a therapist like sometimes it’s not the first one.
All about the money

I’ve had 19 sessions with Nourish and today I was supposed to have a session at 9 AM. However, I was having a car emergency last night that required. I bring my vehicle to the dealership today for service. I’m sure some of you have bought your car to dealerships for service and you know that’s an all day affair. I did not notify my nutritionist the night before that I would not be able to make our scheduled appointment and she informed me that they would be charging me $75 for a missed appointment. Even if explaining that my car needs to be serviced that I cannot be there. I must have my car fixed. Nobody seemed to care. So I’ve now had to cancel the next scheduled with my nutritionist and I will no longer be using their service. It’s clear to me that this is not so much about helping people as it is about collecting money. To be so highly punitive and inflexible when you’re dealing with people who have lives is a very poor business practice. I think if you need help with the nutritionist, you should just go look online for one and go to a real person in their office. This service just wants to take every penny they can get from your insurance and if they can’t get it from your insurance, they’ll take it from you.
No issues, love Cindy.

I read a ton of reviews talking about this being a scam. I assure you it is not. Nourish charges nothing until after your insurance processes the claim completely. I'll admit I was little taken aback when I saw the charges, but they were before my insurance kicked in. I pay $10 per session. That's it and it's totally worth it. Nourish also sent me an email saying they would not charge me for anything should for some reason mybinsurnace rejected the claim. With all that being said, Cindy is awesome. Like any intake, she wanted to get to know me and get a clear picture of my eating habits. Within three sessions, we were able to identify a HUGE trigger for my weight gain/inflammation. I'm down almost 17 pounds in one month, and my gut issues are starting to heal. I know my results are not typical, believe me, but having someone actually listen to me, and not try to pump me full of meds was a relief. I'm sad this wasn't available sooner. I would have never thought to speak to dietitian but it makes perfect sense.
