Canonical Devil May Cry!
PridedWaif6853
Hear me out! This game being canonical and mobile is actually good. The outfits and cosmetics give ton of imagination. Best Base Perfect Devil Trigger design out of all games. Console team keep that look! It continue to adapt stories that had happened in between years after defeating Vergil in 3 and Mundus in 1. It’s a parallel world. Obviously, since it’s a mobile game the selling point is gacha stuff. The other con is it doesn’t keep the Devil May Cry gameplay that we love. It’s hoyoverse style. The beta was DMC gameplay and it was GOOD. Lore is great, but there are some mishaps. Rebellion was always only a memento for Sparda. Therefore, it was a spare sword with dormant power that only awoken to Dante due to carrying his blood. Much like the Alan Lowell spare tear had clairvoyance to Dante. Which is due to being son of Sparda. 2000 years ago Sparda only used Force edge and Yamato. Devil bringer fused with Yamato, you get true power of Yamato, the god of death. Force edge fused with Necklace only reacts and evolve Devil Sword Sparda if you’re a Sparda. However, as stated in all of DMC, Dante is the heir and one who carries his true will. Which is why rebellion was a keepsake for Dante specifically. He was free & pure, kindhearted. So that’s an issue there. Also, don’t be so critical of seeing the same demons. They are races. Lore wise all demons from every game were under this former Demon Kings rule pre-2000 years ago. Anyways, hold you over until we get some remasters and DMC6!
What did you expect?

I’ve seen this hundreds of times before. P2W should be expected going in with a title like DMC. I mean do you honestly think that a team of developers spend months and months creating a beautiful game like this out of the goodness of their hearts? They have families to take care of just like everyone else. I do think that it would be better to just charge a flat price for the game instead of luring people in to thinking they can beat the game eventually without paying and then hitting them with it after they have invested hours upon hours of their time. Honestly people should expect to have to fork out a little money at some point though for a game like this. I mean this isn’t Angry Birds or Cookie Jam. I get so tired of people with their sense of entitlement who want everything for free. I mean I’ve even seen people get nasty with the creators of a free emulator just because it wasn’t able to play their favorite game yet. Go to school and learn video game development and put your own team together and spend months creating your own game and then offer it to the world for free and then you can gripe all you want about software companies that charge for their content. Until then give the rest of us a break and quit complaining.
Blast!

It’s a good game that doesn’t deserve all of its hate. I love the style rank system they took and how tried to cram as much Devil May Cry as they could. It is still missing three major characters at the time of writing this and they are: V, Trish, and that chick from DMC 2 whose name I forgot. The story is good, but suffers from either a massive bug or something else. I say that because there are some cutscenes that have voice acting and others that don’t, and to make it even worse is the fact that it’s random. Speaking of the voice acting, none of the characters are played by their actual voice actors (except for the original characters which there are a lot of) except for during combat the voice lines are directly taken from the main games. However there is the problem of false advertising. If you were all excited about recreating events seen in dmc1-4, then I am sorry to say that none of the scenes from those games are in this one. Yeah some have the look, but no scenes are actually there which is what was promised. That brings me to another problem which is how some weapons are removed and are either skins or gone entirely. The ones that are skins are: the Yamato, V’s cane (even though he’s not in the game yet), Lady’s sub machine gun, the Red Queen, and the worst offender is the Rebellion which is replaced with the “Victory Blade”. The weapons that were removed entirely from the game are: the Kalina Ann, the ice nunchucks (I forgot their name), and Ebony and Ivory (which is removed from Dante’s character model entirely except for cutscenes). I should also mention the “gacha elements” which I think is the energy system and if you’ve played Gundam Breaker Mobile (rest in peace) then it’s the same concept except that instead of EN it’s Pizza. Despite all the problems I am having fun with it and I’m just glad iPhone users got a DMC game to play on the go.
