Travel Healthy is an app developed by travel medicine specialists at Massachusetts General Hospital, in collaboration with researchers at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Some users of the app will be participating in a research study at Massachusetts General Hospital titled: “A Mobile Application for Collecting Symptom and Geographic Data from U.S. International Travelers”. You can use this app to keep track of symptoms that you may experience during an international trip. Travel Healthy also offers a suite of tools to help you during your trip, including a Travel Wallet where you can securely store documents and a malaria medication reminder that will send you notifications to take your malaria prophylaxis. All the data in Travel Healthy is encrypted on the phone and the cloud database using industry-grade algorithms. Finally, as you complete symptom surveys during your trip, you will get unique digital postcards that you can collect and share with family and friends!
