We used Vay two times recently in Vegas. Both times we actually had a driver deliver the car to us. Eli was the first driver. He was awesome and gave us a brief rundown of how it worked since it was our first time using Vay. The second day we got Kimberly. She was really nice as well. I think that they were busy the two days we rented as it took a little longer for the cars to arrive. The second day it told me it would be less than 20 min and it took close to an hour before we had the car. The app did not give a proper timeframe estimate. I have screenshots of the app showing the time discrepancy if Vay would like it. The car itself was clean except the computer screen had sticky fingerprints so it was kind of gross. Would potentially be nice to have something to clean this in the future. The app worked great to start and pause the ride. We were staying at a hotel on the strip so we struggled to find parking to "return" the vehicle. I called customer support regarding this and was told to just find a free parking. Which It's kind of hard on the strip. Customer support should have suggestions or maybe a list of locations where we can drop off. Another suggestion would be to maybe partner with resorts like MGM and have a dedicated spot to leave the car? We ended up parking the car twice at the Orleans hotel because we knew we could safety park it there as their ground parking is free. The only issue is that this location must have a bad signal and the car couldn't end the ride. We had to call support twice and both times they ended it. The guy the second day tried to get us to randomly find street parking near there but we weren't too sure about the area as we were tourists so he finally agreed to letting us leave it there. All in all great experience I understand this is still new so there will be a learning curve. Can't wait to be in Vegas again and utilize Vay

I have to tell you I’m floored at the smooth process it was to rent a car from vay, they brought the car, went over how to use the app to lock and unlock and stopover, were really professional and IT WAS SO EASY! The other best part is how cheap it was, definitely less than half the price of Uber no kidding. The only con I can share about it right now is that there are very limited drop off and pick up areas so if you don’t live close to one of the purple areas on their app, then you have to travel to a purple area to rent a car, other than that I am really really impressed

I tried Vay for the first time today and I have to say, I was EXTREMELY frustrated! As someone who is not familiar with EVs, I was immediately anxious about the cars battery when it arrived. Apparently, Vay cars are supposed to be “fully charged” upon pickup. My vehicle was less than 25% charged when I picked it up. This instantly made me anxious because 1. I was heading to a gathering with friends. 2. I had absolutely no idea where a charging station was. 3. I used the app to find the nearest station, and I was connected to a third party website that directed me to a station that I later found out was “coming soon”. 4. On a 107 degree day in Las Vegas NV, the AC wasn’t working well. I assume it’s because the battery was low.I tried getting in contact with customer service FIVE times and never got through! I finally decided to just drive the car to my destination with the hope that I would make it. Keep in mind, VAY charges $150 for someone to come out for an emergency charg if the battery dies, but that only gives the car enough of a charge to drive. After that, you have to find the nearest charging station. I was able to make it to my destination, and to my benefit, there was a charging station in the complex, although it was a slow charging station.I’m really on the fence about whether or not I’ll use Vay again, especially during the summer months.

I have never had a more frustrating experience with a company than I’ve had with Vay. This service is an absolute joke. The cars are unreliable, constantly breaking down or not starting at all, and when you need help, good luck getting through to customer service. Antonela, the representative I dealt with, was completely uninterested in actually solving my issue. It’s like they don’t care about their customers at all. To make matters worse, Vay has slashed their service areas, now only covering high-tourist zones and leaving locals without any options. So much for being a company that serves the community—they’ve made it clear they only care about tourists. They even brag about their $4.9 million in funding, yet they can't fix their app, their fleet of cars, or offer any sort of reliable service. It's honestly embarrassing.Oh, and let’s not forget that they pay their workers terribly, (confirmed by thier indeed job postings and disgruntled employees that have shared this with me) which probably explains the lack of effort and terrible service. I was stuck in a car that wouldn’t unlock for *eight hours* overnight, and of course, customer service didn’t answer the phone. It was a nightmare.I’m never using Vay again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If you enjoy wasting time, being stuck in a car that won’t unlock, and being ignored by customer service, then sure, give them a try. Otherwise, steer clear.
