I never leave reviews. In fact, I'm pretty sure this is my first one, but I felt like I needed to share my experience.I reached out to Sarah after learning that she sometimes provides subscriptions to people facing financial hardship. As a full-time college student who is currently unemployed, I wasn't sure what to expect, but she responded with so much kindness and generosity and gifted me a year of access. My fiancée and I have been trying to conceive for over a year, and I've been working on taking control of my health and learning more about my body. Living with PCOS can feel overwhelming at times, especially when you're trying to manage symptoms and make positive changes.I've only recently started using the app, so I can't speak to long-term results yet, but my first impression has been incredibly positive. The app is easy to navigate, informative, and feels like it was created by someone who truly understands the challenges of living with PCOS.What stands out to me most is Sarah's compassion. She didn't have to help me, but she did, and that kindness meant more than I can put into words. Thank you for creating this resource and for helping make it accessible to people who need it.I look forward to continuing my journey with PCOS Pals and would absolutely recommend giving it a try.
Food scanner needs a major uphaul

The main reason I wanted to try this app was the food scanner. I saw potential in it. First thing it says is don’t scan the packagings barcode. Ok well why not? I feel if you can upload a database that can pull the information with the packaging, ingredients, calories, nutritional information, etc that will get you the best and most accurate information. Instead you want a picture of the front of the package of the food itself. Ok so I do that. I take a picture of the front of a zero calorie flavored water. First time I scan it says BAD. Possibly has sugar in it high glycemic index content. Uh it says zero sugar. So I scan again cause the first pic was blurry. It say OK zero sugar likely has additives that can still be harmful including carbs. Ok sure. I take a picture of the nutritional facts. It says GOOD. zero sugar zero carbs no additives a good water to add to a pcos diet. Like what the actual heck. Which one is it? It’s so confusing that it’s not even worth the money because in the end it’s probably going to tell me the wrong info and screw up my pcos more. Thanks but not thanks. Glad I only did the $4.99/week trial first. Let me know. If you update your scanner
I wanted this to work. But there are some concerns.

Some of the recipes are obviously AI which isn’t bad necessarily, but it would be helpful if someone screened them before adding them. The recipes don't always match the title or photos very well. The title will say something like "Chicken Basil Pasta" but then never mention basil in the entire recipe. When something this simple isn’t screened, it makes me feel like this whole app isn’t actually vetted and is more of a cash grab with info that may not be accurate. (The video lessons are also AI and if there’s no one screening them there’s a chance for misinformation.) Another thing I noticed was when I add a recipe to the log, it only transfers calories and protein but leaves out the carbs and sugar values. If others end up overlooking this, they may be eating more sugar than they realize which could hurt their health/PCOS symptoms. Whenever you first create your profile on the app, it ends up calculating your macros for you and the way it calculates it is different than any other calculators I’ve done. It told me I needed 149g of protein, but whenever I’ve done protein calculators in the past with my body and hormones in mind, I’ve only ever needed anywhere from 95 to 115g. Unused protein turns into sugar, causing issues with insulin resistance. I wanted this app to be the answer for helping handle my PCOS, but the more I use it, all of these little things are adding up and I think there’s a lot of red flags here. I would like to think that whoever developed the app had good intentions, but either way they relied on AI too much and didn’t screen anything. It’s possible to use AI to be more efficient, but this wasn’t it. If someone pays for a HEALTH app, the app shouldn’t be potentially harming their health through the neglect of the developer. Thanks for listening!
Amazing Support!

I have struggled with my PMOS for years as well as it being dismissed due to not having the cystic type and only it being metabolic/systemic. I was excited to find this app on ads and was wanting to try it out due to how in depth and how many features it had, especially the recipes which I’ve particularly struggled with. I’m a SAHM of 2 toddlers and when I saw you had to pay for the subscription and how much it was I knew I would not be able to afford it so I ended up emailing them and they were able to accommodate my financial situation. I am so grateful for their generosity and giving me the opportunity to genuinely track and have resources for supporting myself and my journey to getting myself healthy and continuing to trend down in my weight. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity PCOS Pal 🫶🏼
