Entertaining match 3 hidden behind pop-ups

This game isn’t groundbreaking or anything, but it’s a perfectly fine match game & the neopets theme is a bonus. Getting items from the game that can be used on the site is a nice feature. As someone who put an embarrassing amount of levels into Homescapes, the levels are about as fun, although they’re also easier.BUT. I keep getting frustrated by the sheer number of pop ups I get whenever I open the game, presumably because I don’t play daily. I logged in today & had got five different pop ups (fyora campaign, my daily bonus item, a faerie scratch card reward, the stone faerie side puzzles, and the full snorkle bank) and they load and close slowly enough that it feels like an eternity to get past them. I just wanna play the game, man 😭I know yall get a lot of complaints and requests, but imo if you made it one scrollable pop up instead it would decrease the lag substantially & be more user friendly.

I had problems with this game for almost the entire time it’s been out where it would crash after about a minute. I had it in a review where it was literally unplayable. I had these same problems with Tales of Dacardia. This was not on the game’s end. The problem seemed to spread to other apps and I’ve eventually figured out the problem was the background app refresh feature. With that out of the way I can say what I actually think of the game.I like match 3 games. It’s a fun one. I still miss Ghoul Catchers, but I’m glad this is around now to fill the void. I’ve never been terribly fond of cute city builder mechanics and stories in these games, it’s a game when we match gems to make neat explosion effects, it doesn’t really need anything else to it. But it’s not like that really takes away from the game itself. As long as I don’t see any Gardenscapes caliber ads for it all is well.

I’m a huge neopets fan and I’ve wanted to actually purchase in-app items/premium features for the past several events. I have been completely unable to. The game will say my payment was successful, then get stuck perpetually on the “payment processing, please wait” screen, and nothing happens. One time it charged me and I never got my coins or items in game but thankfully ever since then I haven’t gotten charged but I’ve since been completely unable to purchase anything whatsoever in app. I want to purchase the premium track for the events but I’m locked out. I’ve emailed support but I only ever get a generic “We’re sorry you’re experiencing this. We’re looking into it and will reach back out when we have a solution” response and I NEVER hear back. I have to follow up myself and they’re always like “we fixed it in the latest update.” NO YOU DIDN’T. IT’S STILL HAPPENING. After which I AGAIN get the “We’re sorry, we’ll reach back out when we have a solution” canned nonsense. Shaun, if you’re reading this, stop lying to me and please just give me an answer already!

Very long tutorial and too overstimulating

When do I get to play the game myself? Why does it feel like it’s a never ending tutorial? I would like to play the game without it telling me what to do. It’s really trying my patience. I understand the developers are trying to make the game accessible for a wide variety of ages and people, but I do not need a hint after two seconds of looking at the tiles. Perhaps the developers should put a little more faith in their audience’s problem solving skills, or maybe there is a setting that I am missing.There is also just way too much going on with regards to the graphics and gameplay. It’s so overstimulating that I don’t want to play this game very often. I wish this game could be a little more like Ghoulcatchers. Fairly simple, fun gameplay, and self explanatory. I do love that we have new Neopets games to play though. The rewards seem pretty good too. I haven’t gotten far enough to notice if any pay-to-win aspects are going to be frustrating, however. That may be the case but I am hoping it won’t be!
