I think it’s very silly that you have to wait until Monday to get your reward and that you can only do three walks a week. I feel that if you are going to make us wait until Monday when we’ve already completed the goal by Wednesday, then we should be able to upgrade our goal to more walks per week. This would then give a better reward on Monday and also challenge to get out and do more. Obviously, once you commit to that bigger goal, you would have to reach it and no longer be eligible for the reward at three walks per week.Also, there are typos within this app. That can make any company look less professional and lose credibility.

The app stops working in the background

It seems pretty par for the course as far as reward apps go, but one major, glaring issue I’ve faced twice now is that the app will randomly quit. I’ll have started the walk, locked my screen, and put my phone in my pocket (not even closing the app beforehand, mind you), and when I go to unlock my phone 30-40 minutes later, the app won’t even be open anymore, and it acts as if I never started a walk in the first place, even if I definitely exceeded the minimum step count. My solution has been to repeatedly unlock my phone every couple of minutes to make sure the app is still open, which is annoying, inconvenient, drains my battery, and takes my attention away from my dog. If this can’t be fixed, then at the very least, being able to write over data from the health app (either from steps or exercise rings/minutes) would be a good stopgap (for example, if gopatter can remember when you hit “start” at least, then it will know what the start time would be from the steps data).

The Go Patter App has aided my dog Benny and I in going on new adventures, getting out steps in, spending more time outdoors, and most importantly, stay healthy! I can keep Ben’s vet records and other “doguments” right in the app along with other health related items. There’s interactive quizzes and tons of chances to win amazing prizes like gift cards to my favorite stores and coffee shops. The Patter Team, specifically Connor, has strong communication skills and puts their app-users first when making app changing decisions and updates. Will use Go Patter forever and recommend to everyone, always!

It’s an extra incentive to go out and walk a while with my dog and then we both get rewarded. It is also nice that I can upload any of my dog’s records and have them ready at my finger tips. Definitely recommend to any dog parents!
