This app used to be very middling, but since the redesign it’s been a HUGE pleasure to use! It opens quickly, has 2FA security, synchronizes with facial recognition and all the bells and whistles of a well designed app! I’m very pleased with it now! I LOVE the large tiles at the top on the main page & how they move left & right so I can see my main used accounts. I like how the info is presented on each tile. You don’t have to go looking for it, but if you want more specifics, a tap on the tile expands for details. Bottomline, this app is very intuitive…it’s like if you’re not that sophisticated…it feels like it knows where you might be trying to go and helps you get there. That’s just the sign of thoughtful app development…presentation! Very important for me, I like apps that don’t “hide” Log Off buttons. For security, I like to log off vs just closing an app. Again, this app is very intuitive…and I LIKE IT!

I’m sorry, I’ve been with CU1 since college and I’m starting to realize they are light years behind other institutions when it comes to accessing your money and digital banking. They’ve advertised this “new digital banking” for the past 6 months only to give us an updated app/website. They zero new features, no Zelle, no ability to pay mortgage from outside account, no edocument upload. This is a joke, you have to go into the bank to take care of several things or mail it to them. I can’t understand why anyone that is tech savvy would bank with them. I honestly wouldn’t recommend them to any friends or family. The app is a joke as well, when it is stakes up against other credits unions like Navy Federal in terms of features and UI. It’s so limited. I’m giving this review because the app is one the many things I check before signing or changing banking institutions. If you want a bank account to hold some money/savings in, this maybe great but to do transactions it’s abysmal. I honestly regrets refinancing with them because it’s a pain to pay your mortgage, as they make it so hard with many steps.

Very happy but… I am happy with my app now, but I had problems with my app for over 6 months I could never get fixed and no one wanted to believe me, I had one branch who verified the problem was supposedly going to get a ticket sent out to fix it. Nobody ever called me. Then I went to a different branch and that different branch was able to fix my app. I was very grateful to them. For fixing it, I just think people should’ve listened to me when I said I had a problem and get it fixed. Instead of just blaming me for it.

Update: evidently you have to log into the online legacy website first before you attempt to use the new mobile appYou will also be asked to register on line some information including your Social Security number which I thought was odd but seems very legitYou then have to delete the updated app and re-download it and it let me into both online and the mobile app and they both look like a much better experience than beforeThis was all with the help of an online customer service person at 6 AM in the morning! Credit union 1 failed to inform everyone that you needed to log onto the online legacy website first even though I’m sure many people like me only ever use the mobile app and rarely go to the online legacy website anymore! Honestly I have updated mobile apps with Bank of America and Chase and Discover and it’s been much more seamless and user-friendly than this whole update experience... otherwise the new app and the new website get four stars******************************************Would be great if it would let me in ...both the legacy website and the mobile app have locked me out even though I’m using the same exact login credentials I’ve used for years
