My British Airways flight from Milan to London was late by many hours. I used TripIt app for my travel. TripIt referred me to AirHelp to get money back. AirHelp got BA to partially refund my flight cost. They wanted me to put in bank account info to deposit check. I was nervous about that so requested a physical check. Today I received a check from AirHelp so this is legit. (I’m sure I could have contacted BA about this but didn’t want to deal with the hassle.)

They get your information without your permission

So this is a company and it’s not an airline just be careful. You can get your claims from other Airlines not from them but what they do is they get your information from the airline when you miss a flight and they jump in between and then they charge you a fee without you knowing that. You can get the full refund from the airline directly, so they’re basically useless because you already had a claim with the airline itself. They just jump in between you and the other airline without you giving them permission to know about you missing the flight.

Did not solve what they claim they would. Extremely slow service and almost no communication along the way. Just a short comment at the end saying: we couldn’t help you…Not worth bothering your time and energy with this. Maybe try with some other services
