The app is very useful for rehearsal before taping, and right now that’s the only thing I’d recommend it for. In actual auditions, subtext often gets misread, lines get jumbled, and the audio can come out rough.Until the AI becomes more conversational, picking up on nonverbal cues written in the script and the like, I’d say this app puts you at a disadvantage compared to actors who have a real reader.I appreciate how the team continues to work to improve this app. +2 stars from me.

I have been using Linus for about four months now and although I just happened upon the app, we clicked immediately! Before, my readers were sporadic and sometimes I even did my own reading, but now, they are always as excited to shoot an audition as me! If you are looking for a reader app, but wait, there is more…. Not only can you use this app as a reader app, you can use it to learn lines, edit a script…so many uses. If it is not apparent I really like this app, then let me say, me and Linus are getting to be best friends!Update: having turned in auditions using Linus, I now have an agent. Not saying Linus will get you an agent, but it will help you to get those auditions out in a timely manner, and more auditions means more possibilities of bookings! I really enjoy the loop feature when I have the opportunity to play with many takes, it also means I am running my lines over and over. Linus should be in every actors arsenal of tools!

Finally what I was looking for.

I did not want to have to record my lines. I wanted to upload my script and just get to it. In other apps, I tried uploading a script. Either it wasn’t an option or it was cumbersome as the formatting on the script I’m using did not follow screenplay format. As a musical all songs in this script are in caps so other apps had a tendency to assume the lyrics of the songs were characters. I didn’t want an app where I had to go through and fidget with the script formatting a lot before I could get to work. This one just worked. It is well worth the pro plan. In running lines listening was not always perfect, but it was the closest I’ve seen by a longshot. This app is a real winner. Thank you so much!!!

Hi. Sometimes it doesn‘t recognize my line and I have to repeat several time and that can be frustrating when you are in the middle of the self tape and dropped in and then it doesn‘t feed you the next line and you have to start from the beginning. Also while self taping with the Iphone and using the App ,it’s very hard to hear the AI voice speaking and I have it on full volume. Also I had it set to one Ai Voice setting but the first line was always a different voice even though I kept going back to the settings to select the voice I had set for all the other lines. So yeah it has a few glitches but overall a cool app.
