Keeping a consistent food and symptom journal can help you and your healthcare provider review what happened. SafeYum makes it easier: describe meals and symptoms in plain language, review the structured entry, and confirm before it saves.
- Journal by typing like you text. "Mia had oatmeal with banana, seemed fussy after nap" becomes a structured entry: foods, symptoms, who ate what.
- Safe and trigger lists for every family member, exactly as you name them. SafeYum never rewrites "peanut butter" into "peanuts."
- Food trials, the way careful introduction actually works: set a target ("7 meals"), step doses ("1/4 tsp, then 1/2 tsp"), and let logged meals advance the trial automatically — including foods that contain the trial food, like yogurt during a milk trial. Anything uncertain asks before it counts.
- One journal, the whole family. Multi-member households with shared access for co-parents and grandparents.
- Ask your own data: "how many times has he had eggs?" "when did the rash start?" Answers come from your journal, not the internet.
