Japan is one of my favourite destinations in the world. It’s somewhere you can completely lose yourself, with every neighbourhood feeling unique and unlike anywhere else.What I found most useful about this app were the suggested itineraries. Even though I only stayed in Tokyo on this trip, they gave me loads of ideas for how I’d plan a longer journey across Japan next time. I also loved the breakdown of Tokyo’s different districts and what each area is best known for. It helped shape how I spent my time especially when I had focused days.The map was another feature I kept coming back to, especially for vintage shopping, as well as discovering hotels with incredible views. Being able to explore places based on what I was interested in made planning much more enjoyable. It also made it quite spur of the moment too which made things feel spontaneous. I’ll definitely be using this app again for future trips. Japan is somewhere I’ll keep coming back to, and this is a great companion for discovering more of it.
Better than saving a bunch of videos!

Instead of saving a million videos about Japan this app is way better and extremely well organized. The map feature is the best part, you can easily see where all attractions, restaurants, photo spots, ect are located so you can plan your days more efficiently. The guide part has helpful tips all in one place-especially the transportation section when there’s so much confusing info out there on which type of tickets you should buy. The emergency information section is great too, hopefully you won’t need it, but I never see anything like that on travel apps/videos!
10/10 must-have app if you’re traveling to Japan!

I’ve traveled a lot (70 countries!), and Japan still humbled me when it came to planning. It’s a lot, even if it’s not your first rodeo. Japan Like a Local cut through all of it. Instead of generic top-10 lists, it actually helped me build an itinerary that made sense and having access to the map of curated recommendations felt like I was traveling with a local who knew the country. Whether it’s your first trip or your third, this is the planning tool I wish I’d had years ago when I first went to Japan. Highly recommend!
