Description

Add frequent flyer points prices to Google Flights & find the best deal with your travel rewards!

If you’re never sure when’s the best time to use your frequent flyer miles, this is the tool you’ve been waiting for! Points Path is the first award flight search engine that runs directly in Google Flights, and provides both the cash price and points price of every flight in a search.

Using Points Path is easy. Just install the extension and then search for your trip as you normally would with Google Flights. In addition to getting Google’s regular cash results, Points Path adds the points or miles price to each flight, and then lets you know which is the better deal for each one — cash or points.

MULTIPLE FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAMS ALL AT ONCE

When two or more frequent flyer programs have availability on the same flight, Points Path lists all of them. Just click the "i" info icon under any points price to see every award that's available for that flight. Points Path also shows you which bank credit cards can transfer to each program. And if there's a transfer bonus available, Points Path will show that too.

BOOK AWARDS DIRECTLY FROM GOOGLE FLIGHTS

Once you’re ready to book a flight, click through to the normal Google Flights booking page, where you’ll find the option to book directly with the airline using your points, right next to all the usual cash options.

GLOBAL COVERAGE AND LIVE AWARD DATA

Points Path works for both one-way and roundtrip searches, and on domestic and international flights across our covered airlines and their alliance partners. All points and miles data in Points Path is retrieved live from the airlines each time you search, so it's the most up-to-date pricing info available.

FREE EXTENSION COVERS ALL THE MAJOR US PROGRAMS

The free version of Points Path covers the frequent flyer programs of American, Alaska, Delta, JetBlue, and United, and has all the functionality described above with no limitations. Our upgraded Points Path Pro subscription tier also adds Air Canada, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, and Qantas, with more airline programs to come.

ADVANCED FEATURES IN OUR PRO TIER

With the Pro subscription tier, you can track prices and be alerted by email when a points price goes up or down, as well as turn on Delta Amex 15% discount mileage pricing in Points Path. You'll also get a 7-day points calendar on every one-way search, access to our Lufthansa First Class dashboard, and more.

Points Path is an all-in-one solution that ensures you’re always getting the best deal for travel, no matter how you pay!

It works now in Safari

It actually works fine in Safari with this extension. Just like in Chrome with their plugin. No issues at all, even in Tahoe Beta.

Ready for prime time?

I had been using Points Path with Chrome (reluctantly) when I received an email that it is available for Safari. (If, as I understand from earlier reviews, the Safari plugin was available on the App Store before it was ready, I, too, would have been upset.) I had difficulties with Apple Pay confirmation on installation, which, it turned out, were a problem with my system, not the plugin. I was pleased with how quickly the developer responded with a willingness to troubleshoot my problem. Now that it’s working, I an very happy to be using this valuable tool in my browser of choice.

On the App Store but doesn’t work with Safari

Edit: This review is the exact message that was received. Instead of telling you it was untrue, they should say “we’ve now updated to support Safari.” I don’t trust a developer who would respond the way they have.

Original: AFTER you go through installing snd signing up, THEN they tell you “We don't support Apple Safari yet. Please open Chrome on your computer.” Not a good look - this should be removed from the Apple Store until it’s ready for Apple devices, period.

Developer Response ,

Edit: Hi Michael. Appreciate your update. However, as we clearly stated, the extension has always worked in Safari as long as it's been published. All you had to do after installing was to start searching with Google Flights, and it would have worked. Question — did you attempt to reach out to our team for assistance at any point if you were having issues, as other reviewers here have noted they did successfully? Thanks!

Original: Hello! To clarify, this review is incorrect: the Points Path extension does work in Safari, and we’ve already had hundreds of Mac users successfully using Points Path on Safari without issue.

The confusion on this point may have been caused by an outdated notice during our onboarding process, which has since been updated. However, that notice was purely informational, and the extension has always functioned properly in Safari when you install it and search with Google Flights.

If a setup issue or other error led to the extension not functioning for you as expected, we'd be happy to help. We'd suggest you give it another try, and if you still have issues, feel free to reach out to our support team by email, and we'll assist in getting it working for you. Thanks!
