Decent start, but…

Promising concept but currently limited. The app only has a camera Scan option - no manual text search - which is a major limitation that needs to be corrected asap for the app to be useful to me. The ability to add detailed personal goals using custom input and AI rather than limited checkboxes is a great idea and seems to work well. The first several foods I scanned were not in the database. I attempted to scan the nutrition labels as requested but could not get the app to read the labels despite what appeared to be clear pictures on my end. I finally found some items in the database and the information provided was excellent. It evaluated the food based on detailed personal goals and preferences in addition to the normal evaluation of ingredient list/nutrition labels like other apps. It also provides the complete nutrition label and ingredient list within the app which would be a great benefit… iff there were a manual text search option, since if you are scanning the barcode you already have that information in front of you.With a manual search feature and when the database of foods increases in further over time, I could see this becoming my go-to app.

The update we just finished (v1.3.2) puts manual text search front and center, toughens up the barcode + label capture flow so those “clear photo but no result” moments are rare and keeps the personalization you enjoyed. With a 5.6 million product database (and a label fallback when we miss one), you can now search, scan, or snap your way to the personalized grades. We also have a comparison view - quick grade one product across every profile, or quick compare several products for a single profile so it’s easy to decide what works for the whole family. Please give the updated version(v1.3.2) another spin; we’re grateful you stuck with it and we’d love this to become your go‑to app.

This app helped me clear out my pantry and let me see past marketing fluff like “natural” or other misleading terms. I also really like how you can put in custom health goals and it’ll change reviews accordingly
