Minor bug fixes: - Can now drop a pin on top of Public Access areas - New recorded tracks are no longer hidden when user is in focus mode

Improved layers menu Improved map styling Minor bug fixes

Wilderness areas stand out • With Public Lands on, wilderness areas now have a hatched fill and a solid border, so you can tell them apart from the national forest around them • Tap a wilderness area to see which forest it's within and a reminder to check picking rules before you go • With Public Lands off, a faint border still marks wilderness Offline maps • The download screen now estimates the size of the area you select • Satellite imagery can be included for areas up to about 1,500 square miles • Very large areas (over about 7,700 square miles) need to be downloaded in smaller pieces. The app asks you to zoom in when an area is too big Fixes • Pro map layers no longer disappear after the app has been open in the background for a day or more

Public land on the base map. Standard and Terrain now show public land in a muted tint, with protected-area names. Private and Indigenous-owned land is left out of the tint. Peaks from zoom 9. Major peaks, with elevations, now appear across North America. Clearer burn legend. It is now titled "Recent Burns" and lists only the years drawn on the map. Fixes A track you just recorded is no longer lost if you swipe the app away or the save fails. Smaller fixes to the map and layer picker.

Hide and show what's on your map • Hide or show whole folders of saved waypoints and tracks, or single items • Solo one track to see it on its own • "Show on Map" brings back an item you'd hidden • Choose a color for each saved track Smoother map • Tapping a spot now picks the pin or marker you meant, not the area beneath it • A dropped pin stays put until you clear it A fresh look • New field-journal design for the welcome, sign-in and Pro upgrade screens • Seasonal cards that match what's fruiting now, plus an up-to-date list of what Pro includes Safety • A one-time note on matsutake look-alikes when you first turn on Matsutake Habitat • Public-land details now remind you to check harvest permit rules • An updated safety disclaimer covering mushroom identification, burn-area hazards and harvest permits. You'll be asked to review it once when you open this version. Fixes • You stay signed in when you open the app • Pro bought on our website now shows up without signing out and back in • The keyboard no longer covers the sign-in form

This update changes what's included in a free account. Here is the plain summary. Free accounts now get: • A sample year of past burns — one older fire season on the map, with details when you tap • Town and pass markers everywhere, with a preview of the Pro conditions sheet Moved to Pro: • 14 and 30-day precipitation (7-day stays free) • Zooming all the way in on soil temperature and moisture (the regional view stays free) • Saving new waypoints and recording new tracks Nothing you have already saved is affected: every waypoint and track on your phone stays fully usable — view, edit, delete and export — on any plan. Also: your password manager can now save your login when you sign up, password reset tells you what actually happened, and small fixes in the layers panel.
