A quiet release. Nothing about how your bill is split has changed. EZ Bill Split can now ask you to rate it on the App Store — but only once it has actually been useful. The ask waits until you have saved three splits, happens at most three times ever, and never twice in the same week.

2.0 is a full rebuild, and the headline is that the math is now correct. THE ARITHMETIC IS FIXED Earlier versions rounded each person's share independently. Three people splitting a $103.03 check each saw $34.34 — four cents short of the bill. Shares are now worked out in whole cents and always add up to the total exactly. ROUNDING UP IS HONEST NOW "Round each share up" used to collect more than the check with nothing on screen to say so. It now shows the surplus as an explicit extra, so you always know what you are actually putting on the table.
